  • Where can i buy this video card i cant find it anywhere. Plus how much is it?

  • @TheCooko0

8800GT is extinct essentially, the 9800GT is the same card except slightly more energy efficient and cooler.

It goes for around $70-$110, but now, for the latest technology and better performance, you'd want a GTX 550 1GB.

  • @Usul573

And how much would one of these be?

  • @TheCooko0

    GTX 550 1GB is about $150.

The 5770 1GB can go for $115 and is only a little slower overall and still a very serious gaming card.

The 6790 1GB is around $150 and mostly faster than the GTX 550 1GB.

Then there's the GTX 460 768MB which can be as cheap as $155 and can beat all of them mostly.

Then the 6850 1GB is $170 and can probably beat all of them.

It's a little crazy, but any of those will make you happy and I recommend them.

Avoid GTS 450 1GB and 5750 1GB and outdated cards.

  • @Usul573 ok thnx man i think i'll go for the 6850 1GB :)

  • @TheCooko0

Fine choice, it's also good to know the differences between AMD and Nvidia cards and their technology though before you buy a card.

Some people might say the 6870 1GB might be well worth the extra $30 or so, but the 6850 is certainly great, it's more powerful than the 4890 in every way.

It'll smoke a surprising amount of games at 2560x1600.

  • this is actually very good considering it was recorded with fraps

  • man it is lagy for you

  • does Pny xl8 Nvidia Geforce 8800 Gts 512mb works on windows 7?

  • u can choose between MAN OR WOMAN : maximum armor, cloack etc.

  • How would the game run on this system?

Ge Force 8800 GS ( Sonic Series)

2 GB Kingston DDR 2 Ram

    Intel Dual Core 2.53 Ghz

i had a ge force 8600GT and a intel pentium 3Ghz 1.5 Gb Ram before...

    settings were on low/middle

would it run on mid/high with my new Pc?

  • maybe you can run it , at 1280* (resolution)max , high settings, with some slown downs in the escenes of fire, with a lot of enemies.

  • y i tried it ^^ thx for your comment !

    Works on High settings!

It works fine untill the aliens part : /

at the ship mission it laggs as hell... i put my settings on middle and it was almost fine again .

  • Maximum blah blah blah voice is a woman's in this one? i thought it was a guy's?

    460W PSU

... would i be able to use the calculator in Vista with this setup?

  • lol i'm not sure

  • @steevyp sorry, but you need a 5 core cpu to run the calculator in vista.

  • if you have 17 - 20" monitor and use 1280x1024 resolution, 8800 GT, 9800 GT or Radeon HD 4770 is the best for you, you don't need to waste your money just for buy GTX 295 card when you playing game at 19" monitor

  • hey guys what's the difference between palit 8800 gt and xfx 8800??

  • I have a BRAND NEW Galaxy Geforce 9600 LP LP (look it up....) And i was wondering...Should I get this? XFX Geforce 8800GT Alpha dog Edition

  • yes

  • runs sweet jus had to take my 9600 gt back the shop it died :( anywayz there letting me take the money i paid 4 tha an add a little to get 260 gtx cant wait

  • noo ,thake ati hd 4870 its more good

    or nvidia 250,260 gts

8800 gt now i think it is demodate

    sorry for fanboys

  • I'm going to get this graphics card in the summer, along with 2GB of DDR3 RAM.. plus my computer already has a 3.46 GHz processor, would this still run it pretty good?

  • tks for sharing this video, and to those retards that keep posting their specs and asking will it run or not just fucking try it and see for your self.

  • not everyone knows much about computers or graphics so why will they waste their cash just to find out their system wont support this card? theyre only asking questions mate, chill out!!

  • loool no dude its not like that and its not only with this video where ever u find a video about crysis u find idiotic post like this for ex: OH i have Q6600 OC at 3.2

3 gigs of ram 1 tera hard disk and 8800GTX in sli or what ever..and then they ask will it run this game??how come a guy with such a gaming rig doesnt have a clue about gaming and graphics??its just to show of.

  • hmm, interesting point!

  • Im actually upgrading to 8800 GT cards In a SLI motherboard comfiguration once i get the money mainly for this game

  • would this be able to run crysis ok? on high?

    AMD Athalon 6000+ 3.0 Ghz

    4GB DDR2 Ram

    Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT?

  • yes.

  • got a 9800 GT now

  • Good for you. enjoy!

  • Would this run crysis ok?

    n9400GT 512Mb

    4gb ram

    Intel Q9400

  • yes it should how many Ghz

  • n11lc

    no it will not work

  • "I see a large transmitting array DO'H!!"

  • is the 9400gt better than 8800gt??

  • no, any x800 series card is better than any x400 series card...... even a 6800 gt is better than a 9400 gt for gaming...

  • i know its a real armature qus but could u please tell me how to know what frame rate im getting whilst playing a game??

  • i'm thinking about upgrading my emachine to run mmorpgs better. i was thinking about getting the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT. would there be anything else i would need to upgrade? thanks i'm kinda new to computers.

  • what about Your mom's bleeding vagina!? will that run crysis good too? It runs my dick pretty good thats for sure! Her asshole has about a 750 watt supply and I can fit both my 8800s in there with ease

  • what about my specs..

    3.7gb ram

    9800GTX 512 single. I WANT SLI

    Q6600 2.8 overclocked to 3.2

    but only 250gb hardrive -_-

  • i have 8800 GT it runs crysis good

  • oh my god...

    what about this,

    geforce 8800 GT

    4 gig of ram

    2.66 quad core processor

    and 500 gig hard drive

are you kidding me? first off 4gb of ram is the most youll need for gaming for a good few years, unless you wanna be a hardass and have a rediculous amount of 8, or 132 on a server. and quad core at 2.6ghz? come on kid if you dont realize that your rig is pretty good for about 3 years with the exception of a graphic card upgrade, then you obviously dont know computers

  • "come on kid if you dont realize that your rig is pretty good for about 3 years with the exception of a graphic card upgrade, then you obviously dont know computers"

which is probably why he is asking a question dumbass

  • Hey will this run crysis good?

    3 way sli gtx 295

    core i7 extreme

    8gb ddr3 ram

    4x 128gb ocz ssd drive

  • no.. but your gonna blow up your fucking house running that

  • lol youre funny

  • i know, i try.

  • hey i'v seen other cards wich cost 90 pounds wich look better..XFX

    GeForce 8800GT

    1024MB PCI-E be better?? XFX 88gt 144.60

  • You're tactic on that base was 200% less stealthy than mine.

  • Will this work???

    Nvidia 8800 GT 512mb

    harddisk: SATA II 500GB

    Ram : 3GB

    Proccessor: AMD Phenom 9600 @ 2.30ghz

  • You could play it around 12 fps i guess that would be playable just a little irritating.

  • i doubt 12fps would be playable at all.

Also you'd probablly get slightly better fps than that, although i 'm not familiar with amd processors.

  • what about this,

    geforce 8800 GT

    4 gig of ram

    2.66 quad core processor

    and 500 gig hard drive

how well will that play crysis on decent settings

  • that would perform fine would manage crysis on high ata a decent framerate

  • shut up!

  • AMD 3800+ Single core 2.4ghz

    2 gb of ram

    8800 GT 512mb

and i get about 20 fps capped doesnt drop at all its the processor bottlenecking lolz

When i upgraded to a 4800+ x2 it went to about 45 max!!! woo (all high settings 12x9)

  • how do you play on high with 2.2ghz and also can i play on high with theses specs

    hd4850 512mb

    amd atholon x64 42000+ 2.2ghz and 1gb ram upgrading to 2gb

    and windows xp

  • can XFX GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog Edition xxx run crysis!!!

    tell me please!!!

  • Yes!

  • Of Course !! lol

  • ok hey bro!

i just got a new computer online..

it seems like a pretty good machine and i noticed that it had an geforce 8800 gt card.

ove heard good things about this card..

but since im new to pc gaming i need help setting my graphic card settings so i can get the smoothest and best performance!!!

i would really appreciate it bro!

    great video +5

if anybody can help me adjust my settings i wud appreciate it x100!!

  • these are my specs.. =]

    *Core 2 Quad Q6700 (K) 2.66 GHz

    *4 GB* (4 x 1 GB) (32-bit OS)

    *1 TB (2 x 500) SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec)

    *7200 rpm

    *GeForce 8800 GT

    512 MB memory

    /O Ports: S-Video out, Two DVI-I out (dual-link, also supports single-link)

i dont know if this will help!!

  • is this full graphix?

  • god ye shit at this

  • How do you think i could run Crysis with on the computer I plan to get:

    Intel®Core™2 Quad Processor Q9300

    4096MB RAM

    640GB hard drive

    Windows® Vista™® Home Premium

    8-Channel High Definition Audio

Plays and burns CDs and DVDs

    15-in-1 Digital Media Card Reader

Elite Multimedia Keyboard and USB optical mouse included

NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT with 512MB on board memory

  • How? Easily. I'm getting a lower spec pc than that and the only thing I'm being told I need more of is RAM, and maybe an AMD 4850 instead of intel. That's because I'm getting duo not quad, and only 2 gigs of RAM instead of 4. I think you'll manage. Now piss off and stop showing off! :p

  • hahaha

  • hehe good1

  • Nice system. I got almost the same as you but I have a quadcore q6600 2,40 GHZ. Yours must play it very good.

  • Yeah you should be fine.

  • hey guys...i have

    core 2 duo 2.20ghz

    2gb ddr2 ram

    8800gt 512mb

so..can i play crysis with very high settings???

    answer plzzzz

  • you have the same specs as the guy who posted this video, don't ask questions that have already been answered

  • Yes, but only if you have Vista... This is because very high settings can only be accessed if you're running DX10

  • hey, xp or vista?

  • xp, read info

  • How well will I be able to play crysis with these components?

    I have a:

    Core 2 Duo 3.0GHZ

    4GB DDR2 RAM

    8600GT 256MB DDR3

I'm not looking for ultra high resolutions, only something like 1152x864.

  • your graphics card isn't that great but you could play at around medium setting, maybe higher

  • hey does the 8800 gt runs better or slower on vista???

  • Everything runs slower on Vista.

  • Hey guys i can spend 120 euro's on a videocard!

    whats the best?

    i have ddr2

    400 watt volt.

send me a e-mail plz i can buy it tommorow ;)

  • Would I be able to run it on 1600x1080 and all max grafics With:

    Nvidia Geforce 8800GT

    AMD 64X2 4200+

    2GB RAM

How many FPS Could i run?

i alredy buy the game but The vid card will arive in 2 days(i burn my Nvidia Geforce 8400GS).

  • one single 8800 GT wonte make it att all very high, especially not at that large resolution.

Get 2 of them. Also your cpu seems kinda old (not an AMD fan but i recog that 4200)

Crysis is pretty cpu dependent in AI rich areas, so get a better cpu if the one you have is crappy.

IF you try running it though with those specs you say, at 1600x1080, i'd say you'd get around 14-15 fps.

  • Crysis supports quad cores, then you should buy Intel quad core 6600 (cheapest quad) and you can overclock it from 2.4 ghz over 3ghz with the original fan that comes along with it. xfx geforce 9800 gtx black edition runs at 760 mhz and that one is faster than the new ones (geforce 280 series) Buy intel and be happy, or buy Amd and you will have a expencive and low end system with slow frames per second.

  • I got Amd 6400 and an Intel quad core computer, same graphic cards(xfx geforce 9800 gtx black edition) and everything is the same exept the cpu on both of them. Amd = crysis high 34 frames and my Overclocked Intel quad 3.3 ghz= crysis 51 frames average :)

  • don't buy AMD !!! They suck beleave me i know... Intel core 2 duo extreme is 10% = 2 cores, faster than Amd phenom= 4 cores xD Intel core 2 quad is cheaper and more than twice the speed than the Amd Phenom.

  • lol, i'm going to get X2 6000 (or maybe even 6400) OR core 2 duo E8200 + club 3D 8800 GT + 2 gigs of RAM. so after reading the discription: will i be able to play crysis on very high settings? i know the XP/Vista thing ...

  • Yes, but on lower resolutions, like 1280x1024 or 1440x900. Even then, you may get some stuttering. If you want to use 1680x1050 or higher res, you'll have to stick with High settings to maintain 30+ FPS.

  • thank you very much, i did some research and i think i'll get E8400 + 8800GTS 512mb. thank for the detailed reply, though :)

  • *cough* 4850 *cough*

  • Hey I have an XFX 8800 GT Extreme edition and there's no way I could play on very high @ 1440x900 (My monitor's max res). I think not even on high! I use Vista though. If Vista is the reason then I'll change to XP first hour tomorrow morning. Damn this Vista... Plz reply

  • @Denexx nope wrong i got a nVidia 8800 GTS i get 102 fps. 8 g ram.

  • @DFnDMonzteR bull shit lol... thats pull crap

  • @marcopereli But custom too so yeah

  • @DFnDMonzteR , so what should i be getting on my gtx 460 .. 400 fps?

  • @marcopereli really? how much faster is your gpu than this? tell me the speeds and the mb i maybe gonna buy it

  • @metalnudel just get to of them. they're really heap right now. and i think 2gb might be a bit small...

  • @metalnudel Yeah it will but you need about like 4 g ran in order to play smoothly.

  • Would i be able to run the game fast with:

    NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

    2gb of ram

    100gb harddrive?

  • tell us whic processor you got

  • sounds all good but tell us your processor, if it is like 1 ghz U can't run it ^^ I got the 8800 GT 1GB version ( overclocked ) 4GB RAMM and core2 duo 3ghz and I OWNNN!!! crysis :D :P

  • very high 1024x768 minimal 24 fps?how much you recommend me to put aa and af?

    AMD A64 x2 6400 3.2 ghz

    4 gb 800 mhz ddr2 ram

Gainward BLISS GeForce 8800 gt 1 gb ddr4

  • please reply me on nfsu2razor(at)hotmail(dot)com

  • hey!why my comments cant show up here?!?

  • can i play crisis with this comp.

    4gb of ram

    8800gt gpx card. 512mb

    3.0ghz

i would like to play on inbetween medim and high res.

  • yes.

  • do ya think i can play crysis on high? i have:

    AMD Athlon Dual-Core 4400+ 2.3GHz

    4gb ram

geforce 8800 gt Alpha Dog edition

  • Yep, you'll have no problem on High with that rig.

  • can i play crysis with:

    intel core 2 duo E6300 @ 2x1.86

    3GB 533 MHZ ram

    8800GT with 1 GB

    on high,1284x1024,2xAA,4xAF?

  • Yes, but i'd suggest you turn off the AA.

  • hi just asking would my pc run alrite on crysis

its a Acer Aspire Intel celron 1.6ghz 32 bit operatering system 256mb nivida 7600gt and 2gb ram

    pretty shit

    any answers

    thanks

  • No. The RAM is fine and the 7600GT is a "meh" card at this point, but a Celeron 1.6ghz won't cut it.

  • hi thanks

    im getting

INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE E2180 CPU 2.0GHz

    will that cut it

and with the rest of the stuff

  • That'll be an improvement over your Celeron.

  • haha thanks

    but will dat be better

  • It'll be better... but you should still upgrade your video card.

  • hey in what settings can i play crysis with and AMD X2 6 4600+ 2 gigs of ozc reaper ram in dual channel and a 9600gt or gs superclock?

  • I'd say Medium- high settings

  • AMD 64X2 4200 sorry

  • What is the lifetime of the 8800 GT? Is it high end?

  • No need to worry about the life time because most companies offer a life-time warranty, so if it becomes defective or anything, you'll be able to get a replacement.

    It's a mid-high end card.

  • im going to buy this video, i was wondering if there is alot of deference between 7600 gt n this video card ??

  • Yes. There is a humongous difference.

  • just bought a xfx 8800 gt..i want atleast the x2 6000 and im going with 2gb ram as well...umm not to play this game :p

  • I got Prosessor with 3Ghz

    and 3 gb of RAM

    Im getting this card

    But i have Vista :(

    5\5

  • Awesome video mate i have bfg 8800 gt oc2.I use the very high fix too.BTW Windows XP rules.Vista sucks.5/5 stars.

  • Actually PC Gamer ran tests and figured out thst the GTS is slower......costs more to i have GT 512 MB, i can run Company of Heroes on ultra high at 104 fps:P

  • I think they did the tests with the GTS's with 640mb or 320mb of VRAM. The GTS with 512 of VRAM is actually FASTER than the GT and other GTS variations. That's because it uses the G92 core.

  • witch one is better the 8800gt 512mb or the 8800gts 512mb (G92)?

  • GTS.

  • Yeah thanks. Im gona update the RAM with one GB and see how it runs. What CPU do you reccomend, i have a kinda small budjet. Cant go over 100 euros.

  • Well, since you have an AM2 slot, i'd recommend an AMD Athlon x2 6000+. It's a much better CPU than your old 4400+, but your current CPU is already pretty decent. I would only upgrade that if i had some extra money to spend.

  • Can i play Crysis on these specs:

    -AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2.30ghz

    -1.75 GB of ram

    -Club3D 8800gt 512mb

    and on what settings?

  • It should run close to my settings. But I'd upgrade the RAM to at least 2 gigs, and possibly to a better CPU.

  • type

r_motionblur=4 in the console so you

can get that cool hand motion blur thing..

    lol.

  • how many FPS?

  • cool, it runs almost the same on my xfx GT, but i am having a textureproblem that started about 3 months after owning the card, but before that, i wuz fine, still onto solving it... but this card is awsome, xfx 8800 GT ftw

  • the girl voice is fucking gay

  • those all high advanced?

  • so trase777 do you like the card. can you run crysis good on it.?

  • YEY COOL MAN! im getting this card today!

    thanks for the vid!

  • I don't wanna sound like a noob but how did you get the girl voice?

  • Go to Options- System Settings- Sound.

  • Never noticed before, happy hunting!!

  • so what exactly was your frame rate without fraps. the video looked smooth enough to play, but if it was cut in half, then without fraps it must run pretty good.

  • 20-40 frames per sec.

  • What resolution. Planing to go to a Q6600 with 2 gbs of ram also a 22in wide screen.

  • I usually use 1680x1050 (which will work on your 22in screen) but I was using a lower one (10x7) for the sake of recording footage.

  • oh ok....Sweet as hell then thanks for the info.

  • is the performance jump from 8800GT to GTS big?

  • Keep in mind that there are three GTS variants. The GT beats the 640mb and 320mb version by a lot, and the 512mb version of the GTS is only slightly better than the GT.

If you already have a GT, I don't suggest buying a 512mb 8800 GTS; the performance jump isn't that great.

  • Oh ok THanks! Because I just got a new computer with overclocked 512 MGB 8800GT ;]

  • I have a question. I have a 4000+ AMD Athlon 64 processor (with 2.6GHz), with 768mb RAM, 160GB Harddrive, and I believe my graphics card is a Ati Radeon x1250. I was wondering if a Geforce 8800 could fit in my pc if I took out my old graphics card? Or if I got like 1 or 2 more GB ram could I run crysis like lowest settings now lag? Sorry I just need to kno thanks

  • RAM is relatively cheap, maybe 50 dollars for 2 gigabytes nowadays. I'd recommend you to upgrade your RAM.

If your current graphics card uses a PCI express x16 slot, you should be able to use an 8800 card as long as your power supply can handle it.

  • how to check?

  • Really right now i'm on 1024xxx, all on medium and getting about 15-25 fps.

  • You'd get that on your current 8600 card, that's not unexpected.

An 8800GT will give you a very significant performance boost.

  • Ok thanks i'm going to get one :)

  • hey, atm i have

    windows vista

    intel core 2 duo 2.33ghz

    3gb ddr2

    8600gt 512mb

    250gb hd

if i upgrade the graphics card to a

Evga 8800gt 512mb, what kind of res, settings and fps could i have??

    thanks

  • I'd recommend a res of 1280x1024. A mixture of high and very high settings would give you a framerate of between 20 and 30.

  • when i watched this i wondered... why buy a 8800 GTX when you could get this for much cheaper???

  • Yeah. The 8800GT is definitely a much better for the price/performance ratio.

  • Hey dude, i have these Specifications on my computer, what would i be able to run crysis on

    AMD 5600+ X2(dual core)

    8800GT Superclocked Edition

    3GB DDR2

    Windows Vista Home Premium

not sure which kind of hardrive, its 500GB though.

Thanks, by the way, what does FRAPS Mean?

  • dude, u have a high end pc and u don't know what fraps is? that's pretty surprising. FRAPS a tiny, free program that you can download to measure how many frames per secound ur getting in a game. its a nice utility program to have.

  • Fraps is the program to record videos.

  • It should run about as good as my system. Although I recommend you use XP instead of Vista.

  • how much fps you get?

  • 20-40 ish without FRAPS.
