Finally, an American car that catches the eyes of the future of this nation. I absolutely think this car has a great chance of success. Currently, all Japanese vehicles are starting to blend together into a boring clump or nothingness, but this WILL rescue GM in the US. I want to sell my Accord and nab one of these sexy beasts. Great job GM!
While the car is designed very nicely, I'd probably consider the Hyundai Sonata over this. Numbers have yet to be released of this car, but the Sonata gets more horses AND fuel economy out of it's new 4 cylinder engine than this, and I believe I heard/read the price starts under 20 grand. Of course, the nice leather etc will be more but it sounds like it just has more bang for its buck. Unfortunately, I can't afford any car so...hah...
Hey' kbb you could have mentione the 1st year a stick/manual will be offered while it is imported to the USA. Then it will be made at the same plant as the Camaro in Canada in it's 2nd year of production.
I don't agree with Buick's choice to begin production with the lesser engine only. Especailly when a brand is trying to redefine itself, they should start with the options that are going to make people take notice.
Its the same principle is putting a house on the market with a ridiculous price- when you finally bring it down to a reasonable price, everyone who is interested in the market will have already crossed it off of their list.
Buick is trying to reposition its brand into something that people who like driving will consider- a demographic that they have not had in a very long time. And, in that demographic, the majority of people would spring for the stronger engine, and, in this case, it is a turbo 4, which likely means that it will have economy near that of the larger 2.4L 4. And, at 2.54 a gallon, 2MPG is not going to make any difference to anyone besides to most frugal of people (who are better off in a Cobalt)
ive got a 2011 ,,i love it how ever it needs a v6 the turbo car isnt much better than the 2.4

They can not change the old image of Buick.......
mrtecno99 2 years ago
Of course they can. Cadillac had a horrible image but now because of the CTS it has a good image. This is an appealing car I would gladly own one.

Sooner or later Buick will be sold to a Chinese company.

Buick can't do much to change their avg. age owner of about 90 to anything less.
