I think also that i read somewhere, that on the actual night she had a really bad cold, that was heavy on her chest.

She made no excuses just went on stage and performed. Hence some of the cracks in the vocals, obviously im not ignoring other factors but that must have been difficult too :)

wow Whitney just kept flipping to head and false to hit the highs. That is usually signature for her but here she was suppose to sing full like Cece. I think this was the year she started the 'talk' phrasing so she doesn't have to hold those notes. Sigh i miss the magic of 80's and early early 90's WH. This is one amazing voice that just didn't last longer than 10 years but her influence surpasses over 20+. Every person wants to sing as good as we remember her to be.

She never got flack for not following up the Bodyguard which is lucky cuz MJ was always getting hit for not selling more than Thriller. Thanks for the post...this was the one i remember.
