@yellowcourt53 Hi, you need to buy some 'waste canvas' which you can buy from a sewing supplies shop or website; you can buy this in 10, 14 or 18 count etc. You then tack the required size for the design you wish to cross stitch onto your pillowcase. When you've finished simply soak the pillowcase and remove the waste canvas using tweezers.
@yellowcourt53 i do!! do you know how to do a running stich if you do do it diangnle and then do it the other was again!! I hoped this helped but i am only 9 so it might.
thank you so much for the video.I really like the ribbon embroidery, I have never seen anything like this.If possible please let me know what size of ribbon and what kind fabric I can use for this kind of design. I tried with 5mm width and 100% polyster ribbon on cotton fabric but I didn't turn out like yours. I hope I'm not asking you too much. Thanks a lot for shareing.
The ribbon I use is usually 4mm Silk Ribbon, polyester just doesn't have a light enough body than silk ribbon, there are plenty of sources for silk ribbon online if you use a search engine. I use any fabric that my size 22 chenille needle will pass through. That is the only requirement, if the needle can pass through it you will be able to embroider it.
Its really beautiful.I shall try to embroidery on my daughter's kameez. Thanks a lot for giving a new idea.
Where shall i get the designs?

How can I put a cross stitch design on a plain pillowcase and stitch it? Do I have to use waste cloth or is there an easier way? Thanks!

I don't know since I do not do cross stitch. If you google search you should be able to find someone who can help.
