Matt has this really unique hand technique, like he "muscles" through his playing. Even the fast parts he uses extremelly little rebound and forces the strokes in a very mechanical way, it's very interesting to observe. Most "teachers" would tell him to relax more but he has sort of honed his craft and turned this into his signature style. It's impressive to say the least, playing in this manner is exhausting and it's amazing to me how he gets through a set, let alone a tour.
