My father was a motorman on the Ferguson and Berkeley (former Florissant) streetcar lines through Kinloch and would take me riding on his days off. Kinloch was a thriving community with great pride in its schools, in its vibrant religious institutions and its social life. No one was rich, a lot of people were poor, but it was a busy place which on summer nights always smelled of barbecuing! Black and white rode the streetcars together. Seeing the destructing the airport wrought is tragic.
The Village of Paroview is heading towards that end. I can see Channel 9 doing a special on North County and why its downfall happens. It was the inaction of village boards of the past and current board to get citizen participation. I wonder if the film will star any of the present board members.

that airport is ruining fucking everything, first kinloch now bridgeton, for ramps that get used maybe 5 times a year.
