  • Oh please just like every city it has millionaires and beggars!!!

  • There's been more bloodshed on these streets than any other city in the U.S. I got respect for St. Louis, LA, Chicago, New Orleans and the rest of you guys from the hood but nothing compares to what happened in NYC through the 1970's to the mid 1990's. The South Bronx looked like Afghanistan, Nagasaki and Hiroshima put together and so did Harlem and parts of Brooklyn. Those days were when shit was real and nobody could touch the city.

  • @Ghost187NY yeah old times

  • @gryphus89 what u tryna say bout la homie shit we aint got big ass ugly buildings but thats where ur close minded youll get shot faster out here homie so know about somewhere before u mention it

  • @bubbaLO4KREW I've been to L.A before son, I respect yall and I ain't no person who glorifys violence. Can't help it if L.A is full of gangs who got nothing better to do than shooting each other. Except that L.A is the paradise compared to NYC in terms of conditions. Thats all I was reffering to. Palm trees, sun, suburbs with your own small house. Peace

  • a dude u rite all cities hoodi lik a muda fuca so it dont matter mane

  • all cities has there ups and downs so in my opinion no other city or state out does the next,lol.....just my 2¢!

  • iight iight all u niggaz right now stfu n enjoy da beats!!

  • @718BKBoi Look at the facts. 1. St. Louis 530 2. Atlanta 484 3. Birmingham Alabama (tie) 380 3. Orlando (tie) 380 5. Detroit 369 6. Memphis 361 7. Miami 346 8. Baltimore 339 9. Kansas City, Missouri 337 10. Minneapolis (tie) 331 10. Cleveland (tie) 331
  • I don't think you need to diminish one city in order to justify the other. Just the opinion of one native New Yorker who happens to love both cities.

  • H, I was born and raised in Brooklyn and now live in LA. With all due respect, I don't see why you feel the need to make LA out to be some sort of clean paradise. I can tell you that it's far from from it. In terms of grimy, "dirty grounds", Los Angeles has plenty of them. From miles of industrial wasteland to Skid Row to the many Barrios, LA has enough "dirty grounds" to rival New York. The truth is, both cities have extreme wealth and poverty, and it that regard, are very similar.

  • New york ma bad

  • @718BKBoi yeah true about that but dont forget about association Neta in Trenton thats one fucked up gang.

  • We the tourists dont like suburbs nice backyards beautiful houses SUV`s and the whole residental surrounding idea is just depressing. Theres no place like ny and nobody likes abondoned places such as Midwest or Delaware cuz noone is out on the streets there :/ everyones driving. I love the crowd the city all the excitement and hustle makes you feel alive. I love brooklyn it feels like home! I HEART NYC.

  • @deleoa471 my man you talking about areas thats going through gentrification... some of these hoods posted on this video still grimey as hell... in fact even the gentrified hoods got homes like that that nobody wanna touch... I've seen buildings in hoods like this go for 100 thou... thats unheard of type cheap in NYC... thing is people know that even though some hoods got some white folk moving in... the hood still gets it in and violent crime is on the rise in NYC unfortunately...

  • btw queens has the most housing projects. Queensbridge is the biggest housing project in the us. hop off Killa Cop Queens

  • @Ptiz1 What are you talking about? Brooklyn has the most projects followed by the Bronx then comes Queens and then Staten Island. Queens has just the largest developement as you named it "QUEENSBRIDGE"

  • Comment removed

  • man were the fuck is queensbridge at were astoria at lefrak city man farrock

  • two words shit hole

  • Now im living in a decent neighborhood... Earning a good living the honest way and even though I still visit my hood and my family that still lives there and ill never forget where i came from... I can definitely say that I'll never even consider moving back to my hood where unless you got the character for it... its pretty hard to make it out... And i respect the young dudes that dont follow what all the other knuckleheads are doing out there... Just stay doing you...

  • And your parents actually allow to type in a computer with the stupidities you continue to spew on here... ESL means special ed... wow... No comment on that one... And look up your favorite website, wikipedia... even on there they break it down easy for you... Starrett City, City line, cypress hills, New Lots, and spring creek are all subsections of ENY... The reason why ill accept that one is because its proven on a number of different websites and unlike you i actually lived there...

  • LOL... and keep living in fantasy... im sure half the population was killed off in ten years... and yes brooklyn.com is very unreliable...

  • We are still waiting for the Census Bureau to release the detailed 2010 numbers for New York State. Population by Neighborhood according to the NYC Dept of City Planning (year 2000 data)

    Bedford Stuyvesant 143,867 (CB3)

    Brownsville, Ocean Hill 85,343 (CB16)

    Bushwick 104,358 (CB4)

Coney Island, Brighton Beach 106,120 (CB13)

    Crown Heights North 96,076 (CB8)

East New York, Starrett City 173,198 (CB5)

    Flatbush / Midwood 168,806 (CB14)

  • Shoot... that was me a few years ago... To all the real niggas out there that kno what its about... I give respect... To everyone out there false claiming and theres alot of it on here... yall can kick rocks...

  • I thought i wasa white ESL teacher... Nigga stop contradicting yourself... To everyone reading dont even bother reading what we gotta say... look up for yourself what hood bangs harder and whats the real pop. of both... FYI, the wikipage for ENY says right in front "theres multiple errors" LMAO... okay and thats this guys source... Toby from kansas donno wth hes talking about... read up for yourselves and educate your minds about how you can come out the hood and still be productive...

  • Yea dudes from the hood got no problem with eachother... last i checked there arent that many white ppl in NYC hoods... and the fact you jockriding white folks now tells me all i need to kno... Btw, if i aint from NYC how come i can tell you all about my block and whats around it meanwhile you aint said nothing bout where you live... you just dickriding ENY... which is the only hood ppl across the country kno about meanwhile it aint even as bad as Bville... just dont even talk no more...

  • @Ridgewoodallday Jamaica queens is a tough area

  • @PaulBangBang What you talking about... I never said it wasn't... But bro if you think Jamaica queens is a tough area than you never been to a real hood... I'll give you Southside and Far Rock as the only hoods in Queens but thats about it...

  • @Ridgewoodallday south Jamaica queens has the highest crime rate in Queens behind far rockaway and im not saying its tough like that just in the queens area, places in NJ are worst i have lived in Newark and their has been more crimes their than NYC Newark being #10 most dangerous city in America

  • @PaulBangBang pai you gotta understand that Jamaica queens and South Jamaica queens aka southside are two different neighborhoods... Southside I highly doubt you been there cause that hoods no joke... Alot of ppl think Jamaica queens is part of southside but its a different area... Southside is way outta the way for most people... Even most of Jamaica ave doesn't include Southside...

  • @PaulBangBang so if you comparing Southside to Newark then i'll agree with you... but if you saying that Jamaica Queens is a tough area but it aint as tough as Newark ill definitely give you the last part but it aint what it used to be... Shit still be knocking thou over there dont get it mixed up but its more gang on gang violence rather than you gotta worry for your life soon as you step into this hood...

  • @Ridgewoodallday man who cares at least new york peps making money so go ahead go kill your selves like idiots who make the most money new york niggas of course cause we dont have time to shoot like wild animals we to smart for that shit. only dumbass shoot and after that he goes in jail and get raped in the ass fuck outta here and good for you son when u going to jail.

  • @deleoa471 my man you mixing up my statements... all I'm saying is that Jamaica isn't as hard as South Jamaica... SJ is on another level of bad... that hood is messed up throughout... Baisley to the 40s, Linden to Liberty that hood is shady... Jamaica at least got some decent parts but if you been watching the news lately crimes on the rise in that hood too... Its sad whats going on with hoods that had been getting better... now things just getting up cause of the economy...

  • @deleoa471 meant to say at the end getting screwed* up cause of the economy... Thing is people don't know whats really going on... they talk like they know what goes down but they know nothing... me, i try to keep myself educated on what goes down around me... knowledge is key to making it in this city...

  • @deleoa471 ppl across the country think its a walk in the park cause they living off of mom and dad who want them to go experience new things... but soon as they come down here and realize what hard work is all about and that they cant live off their fam anymore... reality bites them in the ass... Cant tell you how many hippy dudes i seen move in and move out of Bushwick cause they couldn't take being dead broke living in a bad neighborhood they were tricked into moving into...

  • @PaulBangBang nigga nyc created all the gangsin nj. trini came from nyc lk came from nyc bloods started in nyc sex money murda started in nyc. we brought all of us to yu niggas. we recruited nj. we have a way diff street mentality than nj.

  • @Ptiz1 lk started in chicago... bloods started in cali... trini and smm the only gangs you mentioned that started in NYC... we rep all these cross country sets without knowing what they stand for and niggas dying for streets they never heard of... one thing i'll say is that out of blood sets and other gangs like LK, NYC formed its own sets thats now growing in numbers across the east...

  • @Ptiz1 No other state can say something like that not that its something to be proud of but it speaks of the power NYC has in forming crews that other states wanna join...

  • @Ptiz1 U sound dumb ass fuck.Latin Kings came from MY city Chicago..And Bloods came from Cali dumb fuck.NY pathetic..Smm is under bloods and on top of dat Chicago have created gangs dat r nation wide..How many gangs did NY create dat r nation wide??Pussy ass NY niggas I hate u fags Chitown all day...Aka gangbang city youtube it....

  • @Ptiz1 who fucking cares where they started, TODAY nj has more crime in the gateway region, NYC is becoming gentrified by all the rich yuppies in downtown Manhattan.

  • Btw, this nigga nick looking at wikipedia for his info... Any more retarded than that you cant get... btw, whats your name... Toby... John... it gotta be one of them gay ass white names white people like to use so much...

  • And finally... the fact you brought race into this tells me you not from NYC either... No NYC nigga gotta problem with Puerto Rican folk cause we grew up together in the hood... unlike that racist shit down south... so go back to kansas my nigga... I kno you not from here...

  • Not even gonna respond to tis nigga nick anymore who is as ignorant a person i ever talked too and dont kno nothing bout his own hood... telling me Pitkin ave dont get it in... thats how i kno you sum white boy from kansas... cause if you was real... real recognizes real... thats all imma say imma leave it at that... just look up for yourself the REAL stats i posted and then tell me who dont kno nothing... dam my nigga lay off the herbs...

  • @Nick718BkLyN type in brooklyn.com/population... they dont allow me to post it here... heres a real website that talks about the population of Brownsville and East NY back in 2000... i cant find the latest results but i read somewhere East NYs pop. was somewhere around 230,000 while brownsvilles was 110,000...back then east ny had a pop. of 175,000 and Bville had a pop. of 85,000... now go to sleep stupid ass nigga

  • @Nick718BkLyN my nigga how stupid you sound... Look at my profile ignorant ass nigga... I grew up on Pitkin ave between Jerome and Warwick on top of that bodega that my abuelo owned... you stupid ass nigga... And i lived in that time period that everyone talks about being real tough... I know everything there is too kno about East NY... Nigga graduate high school before you talk to me... my nigga wikipedia is a cite where ppl like you and me post...

  • @Nick718BkLyN I gotta agree with this one... I know that some white ppl pass thru Bushwick pjs cause its right next to Williamsburg but in terms of hood pjs thats about it... you gotta understand NYC is all buildings... there are PJs that are in Manhattan in MIllionaire territory... that doesnt mean that a PJ in Brownsville or East NY is any better... thats just stupid logic

  • I know i posted like 10 comments on here but facts had to be spoken... @ nick, real talk just do a search before you speak of what hood is bigger East NY or Brownsville... East NY includes 4 or 5 neighborhoods, city line, starrett city, cypress hills, new lots, and spring creek... and aside from a couple really bad spots close to the bville border and by city line and cypress hills, there are parts of East NY thats actually tame... B'ville on the other hand...

  • Bville right now got 25 murders on the year so far where East NY got around 23 or 24... they right there neck and neck but the population of East NY is somewhere around 250,000 whereas B'villes is 110,000... Go on compstat nyc crime to check it out for yourselves if you dont believe... I know what I'm talking about... B'ville is on a whole nother planet of bad... Right now they even got teachers walking there students home to school for fear they might get shot while walking home at 3pm...

  • @Nick718BkLyN My man thats cause the Bronx got a way smaller population than Brooklyn... But right now, Bronx has gone really gone downhill this year and aside from a few areas in Brooklyn... i.e. East NY, Bville, Bushwick, Bed-stuy, Flatbush, and Crown Heights, and even Brighton Beach/Sheepshead bay (them russian niggas dont play)... other Brooklyn hoods been pretty tame...

  • To be honest... As usual you got alot of teenagers on here being proud of losing more black and hispanics to gun violence and gang violence... Hood is hood period... Theres no harder or softer... Theres hoods everywhere... What pisses me off though is when niggas kno they dont live in the hood and claim they do... Like Hoboken... you got niggas saying they gangsta from Hoboken... c'mon son... that aint nothing to be proud of... # real talk

  • @Nick718BkLyN lol yea i feel u...but i just posted a video of brooklyns hoods on mah page yesterday

  • @Nick718BkLyN oh so you're puerto rican...me too lol...but puerto ricans do have big ass families i dont even know most of my fam lol

  • @Nick718BkLyN (cont.) yea im actually surprised there wasnt an argument 'cause it alwaysleads into that whn this subject is being talked about lol...but yea you were mature about it

  • @Nick718BkLyN ts 'cause those neighborhoods are very small...but i just found the statistics...and overtown had 14 murders last year but only has a population of 10,000 people, now thats high as fuck lol an opa locka murder rate per 100,000 is 69...overtown was listed as one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country the past couple years...but damn you travel a lot lol..and new orleans has some of the most dangerous neighborhoods also...and i lived in the bronx for 3 years

  • @Nick718BkLyN yea miami isnt as bad as it used to be in the 90's but its still one of the countries most dangerous cities...and yea detroit is a ghost town but they still have a crazy high crime and murder rate and is the most dangerous city in the U.S. but there's neighborhoods in miami that are more dangerous than bville...like overtown, lil haiti and liberty city..and north philly is really bad tho

  • @Nick718BkLyN oh ok yea we're getting the same info...but "69 victims of shootings" doesnt mean 69 murders...it jus' means 69 people been shot but maybe like 35 people survived...but my bad actually bed stuy, east NY and bville combined had 73 murders not 65...but im not sayin bville aint bad I know it is, but there are much worst aeas in the U.S. like in new orleans, philly, detroit, miami etc.

  • @813flawdaboy my man you are talking what you straight up dont know... Imma get to nick in a second but this is what happens when ppl that dont know what they talking about speak... nonsense... Brownsville pop. is about 110,000 and averages about 30 murders a year and this year is on pace to eclipse that based on last years numbers... Plus what dudes keep on forgetting is that the whole hood is 1 sq. mile... That means that all the crimes you see takes place in a small area filled with pjs...

  • @Nick718BkLyN where you seen that at...'cause last year brownsville, east NY and bed stuy murders combined were 65...i dont think bville averages that much, maybe back in the 80's and the 90's

  • @813flawdaboy and just to let you know theres two precincts in bed-stuy... again ppl talking what they dont know... last year East NY had 35 murders with a pop. of over 200,000... Brownsville had 29 murders with a pop. of 110,000 and Bed-stuy with both precincts combined the 79th and 81st had 12 and 17 murders respectively... So you talking about close to 100 murders with a population in these three of just over 400,000... And in a much smaller area filled with pjs as well... #Real Facts

  • @Ridgewoodallday i aint tryin' 2 hype up murder or crime im jus' sayin theres more crime in many other neighborhoods. and the reason y i brought that up is because ppl from NYC always talkin shit sayin "NYC is the hardest, most gangsta" and all that, and they aint gotta clue what they takin 'bout. but of course NYC has more crime per square mile cause its overpopulated...nd overtown is about 1square mile too with only 10,000 ppl and averages up to 15 murders a year. and ive been 2 marcy projects

  • @813flawdaboy who cares... why it bothers you what other ppl think so much... when did niggas in the hood get so sensitive that they gotta hype up what hood is harder... and that goes to all hoods in NYC, Detroit, camden... across the board... And LMAO at you being in Marcy Projects thats one of the softest projects in Brooklyn... My nigga go to Tilden, Brownsville Houses, Grace Towers, Howard Houses, etc. I could keep on going... those projects go hard if you enjoy seeing that stuff... smh...

  • @Ridgewoodallday it bothers me cause they speak without knowledge. but u cant really say marcy projects soft cause no projects are soft jus some may have more crime...but all i was tryin to get out was that NYC has one of the lowest crime rates in th nation. and im not sayin itz soft cause i know its not but its crime rate doesnt compare to cities like new orleans, miami, atlanta etc. buti have much respect for NY..i lived in the bronx for 3 years

  • @813flawdaboy I can respect that comment more than some of your others but that safest city crap really doesnt mean squat when even back in 1990 we were still one of the safest cities in America and had around 2300 murders... Fact is about 60-65% of the city isn't hood, isn't working class or poor working class either... The crime that you see and about 90% of the numbers that you see out this city comes from the other 35-40% that no one talks about...

  • @813flawdaboy in fact in order for this city to even be mentioned as one of the most dangerous big cities youd have to have 3 times the crime rate with 1/2 the space... its just too many ppl living here which also makes our quality of life SUCK... And since we dont live in a third world country and theres cops around theres no way what you ask of this city is possible... doesnt make the hoods any less lively than any other hood in the country... thats all im saying....

  • @Ridgewoodallday naw actually NYC was one of the worst places to live in the country in the 90's...but NYC done real good in cleaning up crime the past 10 years. and the other thing i noticed about the hoods/projects in NYC is that ive seen many tourist and ppl who dont even live near any of the hoods walk through there. and the hoods/projects like in the south u dont see that..once you're in the hood there its like nothin' is safe at all

  • @813flawdaboy youre not getting what im saying... As much of a hellhole as nyc was and i know cause that was my time period growing up... it still was on average one of the safest cities in america because of how many people it had... NYC became the safest city in America in 1998 just so you know... And the PJs that you pass by where you see tourists go through are the exact same soft spots ive been telling you about... When you pass through a real pj no tourist would be caught dead there

  • @Ridgewoodallday oh ok i guess so and that was NYC at it worse that crazy...but it wasnt jus one pj's ive been to south bronx and harlem and ive seen tourist and many whites and businessman walkin through there...but i guess thats how NYC is one of the safest cause theres too many ppl outside so theres too many witnesses..but im puerto rican and from florida and floridas hoods have a whole diff. vibe than NYC's hoods

  • @813flawdaboy not gonna lie Harlems gotten alot better over the years... you could look up info on that if you want but white folks been moving to Harlem since the 90s... Now the white pop. is somewhere around 10-15% over there where it used to be like 1%... South Bronx depending on where you go i'll believe what u tell me but trust me theres still many places in NYC, that white folks wont lay eyes on... Thing is even in the hood, blocks range from decent to ... dam...

  • @Ridgewoodallday back in the day the bronx was primarily Italian-american

  • @813flawdaboy And i been to liberty city in Florida i definitely feel where you coming from... I feel the same way about hoods like that... To me, walking around South Jamaica which got that hood burbs feel is more shady than walking around big PJ buildings to me cause those hood houses look grimey as hell... but to that point, all hoods in this country thats really hoods get it in... theres no point debating which is worse just educate yourself on how to get out... real talk...

  • @813flawdaboy I mean like i said before that was me... I grew up surrounded by that stuff and i made my mistakes but thankfully i caught myself before it was too late... I was able to graduate HS go to College and eventually get a degree in math and bilingual education as a ESL math teacher... Now, im helping out those kids from my same background understand the importance of education and of not following the crowd... Look where it got me...

  • @Nick718BkLyN yea brownsville only averages about 25 murders a year and they have a lil more population than camden...brownsville still is bad but not as bad as other areas

  • @813flawdaboy I want you to come to b'ville real talk before you talk so big... you talkin about a whole lotta crime in a small area as opposed to those tiny pop. towns like Overtown or Camden but are way larger so the crime is more spaced out... Its stuff that you cant compare...

  • @Nick718BkLyN oh ok well that still is a high murder rate for only havin' a population of 100,000....it's a lot higher than NYC's

  • @813flawdaboy what i dont understand is why you hyping up crime in the first place... Oh yea my hood gets down more than you do... why would niggas even proud about chit like that.... Thats how you kno we as a minority community in general got our minds all twisted... Im just breaking the facts down which you seem to know nothing of but dam you hyping up death like you never lived in a real hood... Real niggas wouldnt hype that up... comon son

  • @Nick718BkLyN naw camden averages about 50 murders a year and they only have a population of 100,000 and newark averages a lot more than 30 murders.

  • @Nick718BkLyN East NY always bad but this year its Bville thats been crazy... That hood is like 5 times smaller than ENY in size and yet its leading the city in murders... that hood is no joke

  • Go to Jersey. That's the hood! Newark, Irvington, Jersey City, Paterson, East Orange, Orange, Elizabeth, Atlantic City, Camden. New York got cleaned up.

  • @GlobalNotes true but Atlantic city is mainly a resort town.

  • These photos are beautiful. There's nothing I love more than the gritty urban landscape of NY

  • Comment removed

  • this looks like Beograd

  • Ny changed. It was bad in the 70's and 80's.Even manhattan(lower east side) was bad back then. You still got certain parts that are bad,u just don't go there.

  • I never understood how L.A was that bad .You all have a house and a front yard.NYC as you can see is a maze of concrete

  • I love ny that's my city till tha day I die

  • Nyc is crazy. at john adams hs a guy was random sticking madd people in the hallways for no reason, everyday cops come in arrest madd kids. not a life you want

  • this looks nice compared to down south....and for everybody sayin NYC is da worst needa guess again...it's listed as one of da most safest cities in america...NYC is not as bad as it used to be in da 80's and 90's

  • @813flawdaboy you need to hop off safest in america cuz everyday i go to school i hear gunshots. and look up 2009 nyc murdder rate dropped 20 percent 2011 came back up 30 percent. It's free for all out here

  • @Ptiz1 look I aint here trynna argue or nothin...im jus' speakin' the facts...yea of course NYC got bad areas, lyk da south bronx, harlem, brownsville and all dat, but thats in every city in america too...I lived in da bronx for 3 years and from my personal point of view da south is mad crazier....shit last week a nigga killed his brother cuz he owed him 5 dollaz and he killed his nephew also....my point is just dat theres muchhh more dangerous cities in da USA than NYC

  • @813flawdaboy yo they don't record most murder rates no more cuz most of manhattan is tourist. a 24 mother got shot with her baby in her hand the other day.

  • i've been to london, NY, LA, detroit, and chicago i got family all over there and they all are equally grimey

  • im not going to go on an say which place is worse to live in london or NY, but u got some nice parts of NY (that the world gets to see on the news) an u got some nice places on london (that the world gets to see on the news), u dont get to see all the shit places people have to live in

  • @billybob98791 what are u on about? have u ever lived in london,

    /watch?v=n3u_MTfssFw

that link is only for north west london, (where im from) look up east, north east, west, north, south east, south an south west, all the area;s like, stonebridge, mozart, church road, hackney, peckham, brixton, tottenham, an loads more

  • fack oh why does my house at 0:49 to get up again

  • i love the people who are writing to search Detroit ghettos. The old NYC of the 70's-90's makes Detroit look like a nice suburban town. Detroit is devasted no lie about that, but its mostly houses. New York had apartment buildings abandoned, gangs everywhere, its a miracle NYC came out of the shitter after so many years. Not perfect today but perfect comparing to the old days which is a positive

  • @1robnyc doesnt la have mostly houses in the hoods? The houses still look as bad as the apartments, same with detroit.some apartments even look better than the houses.

  • Okay people who think new york or wherever ya from is bad compare that shit to the 70's thats when it was at its worst

  • nowhere in New York can compare to anywhere in St Louis, no bias here it's just the damn truth. This coming from a white boy from the south who lived in a lot of New Yorks 'worst hoods'. I got along with the locals and never felt unsafe, well... there was this one time on St Johns in Crown Heights... but that's not the point. Anyways nice video, man.

  • @mySTALEMATE look up on youtube east baltimore to edenwald or something like that... It talks about a dude that moved from the hood of East Baltimore which is right up there with St. Louis moving up to the Edenwald projects thinking it was gonna be a cakewalk... Check out his reaction... I'm tired of people using that safest city ish when theres hoods in this city that go just as hard as any city in the country maybe more... B'ville is on another level for example...

  • @mySTALEMATE if B'ville was its own city it'd be ranked easy worst 5 cities in the country year in year out... But its not... It's part of the greater city of NYC where probably about 60-65% of this city is middle class to upscale... what about 35-40%? those are your crime statistics... majority of the crime and im talking about 90% is isolated to these hoods that year in and year out lead the country in murder statistics and just about everything else... so hop off and do some research...

  • this is home <3

  • The videos of Detroit ghettos look far worse to me than these of NYC. It looks like you can cram more poor folks in NYC in slightly better coomodations. Have you seen the videos of Detroit? They're devastated.

  • @twunta actually those kind of areas you talking about are mostly abdoned areas its barely people living there anymore + they are suburban, while NY hoods are fully inhabitated and urban in the heart of the city.

  • @Gryphus89 bro detroit far worse

  • Graffiti art all around... I LIKE that. Home of graffiti as well!

  • @Nick718BkLyN In a given year, Detroit has more murders than NYC. The average house in Detroit goes for 7000$ because no one wants to live there. It is not uncommon to find abandoned houses in the bad parts of Detroit. I thought it was a good thing to have houses go for a lot of money. That means people want to live there because it is a good area. Not all places in NYC are expensive as Manhattan. There are five boroughs and many people who work in NYC live in Jersey or upstate.

  • @Nick718BkLyN As of this second, which city would you rather live in Detroit or NYC ? Detroit may be making a "recovery" but they are still have a long way to go. Granted, NYC crime rate has been going up "most likely due to the bad economy" but it is still below the national average and way lower than Detroit's, even though NYC has a couple MILLION more people than Detroit. Every major city in the world, even those in western European countries "Paris, Berlin" have ghettos.

  • I live in rockland but I was born in the bronx

  • if each new york rapper gave a million each they could clean up these places. jayz makes how much, he gets over 100 millions, jayz, nas, kanye west, twister, ll cool j, wu tang, mobb deep, puffy, mase, redman, dame dash, freeway, beanie segal. if each gave a million or a couple thousand, they could easily clean up thes eplaces n if not reove poverty but would be huge step in right direction, but they dont they pimp it glorify violence, without it they would not get the record deal.

  • this is the places where they do not show on the ny tours

  • @XxPzPxX1 I bet some wanna be gangster would pay to take a tour of these places, but in an armored car of course.

  • i live in new york and see this every day

  • @Nymostwanted84 fucking dumbass, bragging about it

  • @Nymostwanted84 anywhere has its Dark side, NYC is fucking amazing but go to the suburbs and it shows a whole different light to the place. I'm from London, same thing, nice city centre, tourist attractions etc but then you go East London places such Hackney, Peckham, Brixton, Lewisham etc you better walk fast (especially if your white). Most dangerous city in Europe and proven to be 3 times as dangerous a New York and you have legalized guns which makes it even fucking worse.

  • LA ... Fuck NY .

  • @43jlm43 haha sure xD

  • this is the best NY hood video on youtube
