South Osetia is basically independand since 92 when Georgian failed to reunite them, Georgia is bombed for same reason Milosovich was by NATO.

I am chechen and i know the history of my land. Chechenia has never been a part of russia. Russians invaded Chechenia 300 years ago killing about 90% of the chechen population. Chechenia is currently occupied by russian fascists. In latest 10 years they killed 250.000 chechens, 50.000 among them are children, it is more than 25% of total chechen population. In 1944 the whole chechen nation was deported to Siberia and North Kasakhstan.

Obhasia declared themselves independant 92 and Russian peace keapers were placed on the border in acordance with an agrement between Georgia, Russia, Osetien and Abhasien they were put there after first atempt by Georgea to acupy them so that it would not repeat. Acording to this agrement Georgia can't atack Osetia regardless of the fact that no one recognice their independence.

War in Chechneya was more complicated but if we siplify i can say this:

Russia was able to keep Chechneya by millitary force.

Georgia tried to solve their problem of independent Obhasia and Osetia by military means early 90s but failed, Georgia lost, and basically asked Russia to stop Obhasian and Osetian advances into Georgia. After which agrement was signed with borders, and as I said erlier in this agreement Russia is assigned to keep pece over there.

No one says that Osetien have the right ether, otherwise Russia would recognize Osetiens sovurenity long time ago.
