  • One of the reasons her dance is a bit strange is because it isn't exactly belly dancing, the music seems more Moroccan and I suspect she is either Moroccan or Algerian, not Egyptian or Lebanese, hence the dancing not being as smooth. Dance in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia do use hip movements in some of their dances, but it isn't belly dancing and just because they are wearing a belly dancing costume, doesn't make it belly dancing either.

  • @mrggdngll Many thanks for your commentary.

  • I understand the style, but not to my personal taste.

  • @MrsCaptJack Please keep in mind this was filmed more than 50 years ago. It's bellydance as it was performed back then in European night clubs. I understand it's not up to the actual standards but it's here just for the record.

  • @klibahn29 I completely understand that. There are a lot of other dancers from that era who are much more to my liking. This is the first video I've seen of Princess Badia, so I was a bit surprised that she's not as fluid as some of her counterparts, that's all. No disprespect intended and I'm glad it's here for me to view. :-))

  • @MrsCaptJack I didn't think there was any disrespect in your comment. I understand you are only expressing your valuable opinion. I take the opportunity to wish you all kinds of happiness in 2012!

  • vulgaire, pas de grace, bof quoi....
