  • @dariusmbolton good to hear mate!

  • once again man, i type in "how to create a sidechain in logic", go on one video, is no use WHATSOEVER! then find this, and im sorted :D cheers man!

  • Would you possibly be able to explain why this doesn't work with MIDI tracks? I figure I can just export them as audio files and do it that way, but if I understand why maybe it'll help with other endeavours! Thanks :)

  • Thanks so much for taking the time to put these vids up, I'm glad you do vids with the essential techniques as well as the ones that get tonnes of views like the skrillex one! Really helped

  • what do u use if you have two kick drums?

  • all your video's have helped me improve so much, it's incredible! thanks so much! i look back on what i've produced in the past verses the remix i just made, and it's like night and day in only 5 months... keep up the amazing tutorials!

  • danke

  • In my compressor when i click the side chain thing theres only two options, "Input 1" and "Input 2" why is this?

  • @dude1703 same here, don't know why this!! cud someone please respond?

  • @dude1703 What you have are two MIDI tracks. he is using audio from a drum that he sampled from another song (i.e. Audio 1 and 2.) if you import a kick sample as an audio track instead of midi and do this process, it'll work out fine. i had the same issue so i just tried an audio track instead of midi and it worked. hope this helps!

  • @jmotter92 you can do it with an instrument/midi track. Using this method you'd take the "ghost track" and set the output to a bus and mute that aux on the mixer (leave the actual ghost track un-muted though). Then you'd go to the synth's compressor and set the side-chain to that bus.

  • Maybe I'm just too deep in abelton lol but why exactly was a ghost track needed?

I can understand having one if we want sidechain when the kick isn't playing but besides that is it needed?

  • how do u change the colour of the tracks?

  • @LeonZhang274 option C for me :-)

  • @nzmusic101 thanks, btw ur videos r awesome!

  • hey can u make a tut on how you made that bassline patch? the one at 2:55, also you should do some swedish house mafia synth tutorials. keep up the vids bro!

  • this just never ever works for me. I've tried about 6 different ways on youtube. I know it's probably a tiny thing i'm doing wrong but i cant work out what it is :(

  • thanks! this is way easier than sending it to another bus

  • thank you sir, great tutorials!

  • Thanks again for another great little tutorial =)

  • @cycosock No worries :-)
