todays citizenship laws and their stirrings with this ladle from the "war on terror" are a distraction based entirely on fear. I believe it is important for us to pay attention to the individual rights that modern governments are removing based on this fear, and the subsequent power grab that is resulting.

Modern citizenship laws were created by a republican movement at the turn of the last century. Republicans were losing more elections to democrats (3rd party system) and this had to change. The republicans targeted immigrating Catholics and German Lutherans, both of whom tended to vote democratic, and systematically tried to make it more difficult for them to get here. Seems obviously counter to the American ideal of 'all men are created equal,' that gave power to individuals, regarless!

Support moving Soldiers and tanks to the border! The Border Patrol isn't large enough to secure our vast border with Mexico. Proper Rules of Engagement should be given to the Soldiers to shoot if necessary. I will be voting for any State and Federal representative that will support tougher border security and laws.
