Social stigmas cannot be overcome if normal everyday people are afraid of being judged. I'll admit, tattoos aren't comparable to homosexuality, ethnicity or religion, but people aren't going to change their mindset if they aren't made to question their discrimination.

I enjoy my tattoos and piercings, but I was very careful in the placement of them.
In normal clothing, they are all completely hidden. So when I go to something like a job interview, I don't have to worry about such judgment.
But then when I want to just go out and be myself, I can wear a tank top and put my hair behind my ears so that I am no longer hiding what I consider to be some of my awesome.
But I never want them to stop me from being able to do something in life that I may want to do.
Personally Hank, I think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion about something, and really I think that the human race as a whole should start tolerating beliefs. Sure someone may not believe the same thing as you, but at least if there was more tolerance of beliefs, you would not have to be worried about being mentally or even physically beaten over your mindset. Every person is different to one extent, and same to the other. Though we should not look down on other thoughts. Keep it up

you do kind of need to cut the nuts off kittens to prevent too-many kittens and consequent kitten suffering. so although i do not like to cut off kitten nuts, i like it happening better than it not happening. but then i do have tattoos, so maybe this wasnt useful.
I thought of this, too, when I was watching, though I do not have tatoos. Then again, there's the difference between the professionals doing it, and a mentally unstable and unhygenic person using scissors. And not all tatoo-wearers are like that. Saying so would be a blatant blanket statement.
People judge you no matter what you look like...no matter what. I'm not saying I'm necessarily on team tattoo. But wouldn't it be better if say someone looked at someone, saw tattoos or an odd way of dressing or what have you, judged them for the way they looked... but then, after talking to the person, had all their judgments proved wrong by what the person said and how they acted. Wouldn't the judging person come away from that situation a better person... less judgmental. Potentially anyway.

Like tattoos of bands they no longer like, or this girl who for some reason thought that getting a tattoo of a whale on her ankle would best explain her personality. And I assume that you also think World War II was horrible, and that you know Communism is atheistic. So religion is not the only thing fueling idiotic wars that should have never happened. It is the people, not the religions or point of views, that is running the stupidity.

There was this really funny article in frankie magazine (which unfortunately was not on their website or I would have linked to it) about people who have really bad tattoos and how they need to stick together. Like tattoos of bands they no longer like, or this girl who for some reason thought that getting a tattoo of a whale on her ankle would best explain her personality. And how they need to unite against all those irritating ppl who get really good tattoos that they aren't ashamed of later.

dude...your tattoo comment was funny because a lot of times people resent the tattoos they get when they were younger. Like my mother has waited until she was 47 or 48 to get a tattoo just to be sure. She still doesn't have that tattoo and it may always just be up in the air. But its kind of a well known joke if you think about it or metaphor? *shrugs* comparison!? *shrugs again*

Hank, are you going to tour Savannah while your in Georgia? I spent 2 weeks there with friends, 3 years ago. off the topic: Compared to your normal Humvee, Johnathon Goodwin's modded 2005 H3 Hummer is simply amazing. It gets 60 MPG (compared to 16 for your normal H3), runs on biodiesel (or almost any other oil/fuel available), achieves over 600 Horsepower (instead of the H3's standard 300), goes from 0-60 in five seconds, and uses a "Hydrogen Injection" hybrid system to cut the already low biodiesel emissions in half.
