Plenty of crap comments...first an alloy steel like the Reynolds 531 can be used for making good bicycles. Aluminium like the 6061 T6 is not always the best metal for bicycles, and carbon composite is pretty expensive.

Second the speaker is wrong; the frame is not welded nor soldered but BRAZED with a cupro-silver alloy. It's the common method used with highly alloyed steels that cannot be welded.

The comment about working women stinks! Happily during WWII women worked in the factories...

This is still not a soldering process. For one, most soldering is for circuit joints, and as I've said earlier, soldering involves heating the two joints and melting another metal to form a bond. That is not being done here.
