Not running around on tie outs in the mud and most likely thier urine. The puppies are kept in pens or indoors not in small crates. Most kennels also have a dog run or large fenced in area to let their dogs out to run and play. judging from how close those dogs were tied they are kept ina ssmall yard and mostly on their tie outs.

Trust me I found out the hard way after 6 months of taking my dog to dog parks as a growing puppy trying to socialize her. I ignored the books and the vets when they both said never take your pit to dog parks because one day the 100 years of dogfighting genes are going to awaken at maturity and boy did it !

Dog parks are not great places to socialize dogs as most people tend to bring their hyper, disobient dogs to the dog park to just let loose. I know of many dogs becoming aggressive/fearful after dog park visits. It's just bad preparation on your part. You could have prevented it. Live and learn. Don't blame it on breed!

Laws are strict on Pitbulls that get loose so even if your yard is fenced you must either kennel them or chain them up in a clean enviroment.

But all I did was take him on longer outings for exercise, stimulate his mind more, and make my yard more secure. And holy crap, he doesn't escape anymore. I must be a genius!

This back yard breeder obviously doesn't care and gets a kick out of chain his dogs and leaving them out there to become neurotic by running past each other and trying to bite. This is sick. @GoneToTheeDogs Pit Bulls are naturally aggressive towards other dogs at maturity. Trust me I found out the hard way after 6 months of taking my dog to dog parks as a growing puppy trying to socialize her. I ignored the books and the vets when they both said never take your pit to dog parks because one day the 100 years of dogfighting genes are going to awaken at maturity and boy did it !

@tierren You have to properly socialize any dog to have them be good around other dogs. It's not just pit bulls. Dog parks are not great places to socialize dogs as most people tend to bring their hyper, disobient dogs to the dog park to just let loose. I know of many dogs becoming aggressive/fearful after dog park visits. It's just bad preparation on your part. You could have prevented it. Live and learn. Don't blame it on breed!

I have worked with scores of different pit bulls and their behavior is as varied as any other breed. I have even held a treat in my mouth and had a pit bull take it from me. No breed of dog is defined by a certain behavioral characteristic. As far as letting the dogs run free, I am not saying that but how about now tying them up by their necks.

@petphotog I raised & bred Pitbulls for years so I know that pitbulls are one of the most loyal breeds you can own. I know from owning pitbulls that the public makes them more of a threat than they really are towards people because they are by nature dog aggressive not people aggressive. Laws are strict on Pitbulls that get loose so even if your yard is fenced you must either kennel them or chain them up in a clean enviroment.

You can't own an APBT w/ a ChainLink Fence & expect ur dog not to get out. This is Ignorance , this is just a hop to this dog. Sure Pits get out of Wooden Fences- but most the time this wooden fence was broken down or holes underneath. Most dog attacks that are from a dog getting loose are from ChainLink fences & chained dogs.
