Well, not only that but Memphis needed the cap space. They were paying Pau more money than they could handle. My guess is since they got his younger brother there wasn't much to lose. It'd be pretty cool for these two to play on the same team though.

The only reason why i cannot see Marc surpassing Pau is because he's got slow feet, for the rest of his game: he's got both soft hands and can bang the boards, nice tough D, a vast skill movepool, and like his brother an atypical court vision for a C. Plus he's going to improve his rebounding when he learns better the nba spacing.
