#1 any one who thinks they can hack ebay sucessfully without being noticed is retarded #2 wtf why would he throw laptops out the window, it's pointless cause the chances of the HDD's inside the laptops being destroyed are slim to none so the police or whoever could just take that 2 find everything (even if the history n shit is gone cause if you go into command prompt and type in ipconfig it will give you all known ip adresses on the hdd and they could match them with the 1's ebay found

There have not been any further 'official' reports that I, nor anyone else has seen-read. According to everything we have seen, whoever they did catch was released quietly after about 21 days in jail w smll fine.

I state again, I have personal knowledge of the situation, & in my expert opinion, ebay LIED.

Typing ipconfig simply shows the ip addresses assigned to each "external" port that requires an address for communication, not a tracked log of IP addresses.

FWIW, I never believed they caught the 'real' Vladuz from the very beginning. Purely a PR publicity stunt to try and help ebay failing reputation, IMO.

Plus I hear whoever they did catch has been released already, quietly, after only 20 days with only small fine.

IMO (more than my opinion, I have personal knowledge) ebay tried to use entrapment techniques. There is no way of telling if they got a real hacker to begin with.

ebay has a clear and continuing documented history & pattern of behaviour of LIES & cover-ups

IMO they would have settled for anyone stupid enough to fall for it, just to get PR.
