Load of BS. The UK gains access to the EU market, which is 6% of world's population, but also one of the most important markets in the world. Population is not directly proportional to economic power. Also, the rest of the world don't have 'free access' to this market. They have to pay numerous taxes. This is the idea behind the EU, to get rid of those taxes and all the red tape involved in the trade between countries.
Darn straight. I'm from the USA and there is more talk now than ever about the threat of totalitarian treatment of citizens here. It's becoming obvious that Washington doesn't in any way have protection of (or even respect for) the rights of us peons in mind.
