Oh I forgot to add...Check out Steve Maxwell for more exercise ideas similar to the pistol. Steve is a world class athlete whom shares his knowledge with us all.
Tuan your flexibility and agility exceeds that of a typical bodybuilder. I believe this is due in part to your incorporation of exercises such as the pistol and boxing in your workout routines. You are a well rounded athlete and if people here would open their minds they would see this and enjoy major gains in their general fitness.
man i cant even do one!, i can squat lots of weight but these are going to take alot of practise, do you think doing these will help my squat as well?
dude you got a awsome physique, may i ask how long it took to acheive and how much you weigh now? and how much you weighed before touching the weights?
I know I can do this I just lack the flexibility. I can seem to get past parrllel even while holding weight infront of me though. You have any tips to increase my ROM on the exercise?
just wondering if you could help me out i experience pain on my outer knee when running deadlifting heavy hamstring curls etc. i was told it is either ITBS (illotibial band syndrome) or bicep femoris tendonitis just wondering if their are any good warm up excercises to help with the pain or any way of treating it so it heals
@roughneckasian thanx for the reply but i jus tried some right now and its way to hard but the thng is i have bad knees and it reallly puts pressure on the kness. and you might be thnking how in the world do i do squats? well i dont lock out my knees, i keep a slight bend.
@dabul2003 Your telling me you do 5 Reps = 1 Set and you do 3 sets which means 15 reps and THATS a warm-up for you? That's pretty much my leg workout for me...
I'm 14 and I can do this. Please no haters just because I haven't recorded this.
No, it won't stunt your growth. It's just your bodyweight dude, it's not like you're squatting 2x bodyweight with incorrect form lol. I'm sure if you have enough hip strength that you'll be able to do it.
I love the way you cavalierly suggest that we should all just give it a go. LOL. My man, that's like a highly advanced exercise. The majority of people who have been squatting for years won't ever even master pistols. Good on you for making it look that simple Hoss.
Hey Tuan! Thanks for the vidz! what is your diet like? if you could briefly give an idea; Thanks.

you make it look to easy! but how many sets do you do to warm up?
dabul2003 1 year ago
@dabul2003
Sets? I think you just do a couple of reps unless you're trying to actually use these to replace a real squat.
BreatheCreativity 1 year ago
@dabul2003 1 to 3 sets. just depends on how much you need to do to get the mechnics flowing
