I think you lot should drop trying to talk about British events/news, because obviously both of you have no idea about the background of Susan Boyle, or even the show she's on. All you've done is commented about something that's become a big hype without even knowing the story behind it all. She's been built up by the press, only to be knocked down repeatedly, and for someone not used to that kind of a spotlight it proved too much. I don't think it was coming in second that made her break down but the whole 7 weeks of media bombardment that she had to endure. The pressure she was under to perform, the criticism she got after her semi-final performance all piled on top of her.
What makes these dolts think she's panicked about not being able to perform for the Queen? Has she made a public statement to this or are they just guessing? DORKS! Boyle is a mediocre singer. Her semi final performance sucked because she sang a different song. She is only able to sing that one song because she has no range.

Susan Boyle has Learning Difficulties due to oxygen starvtaion at birth! Cut the Lady some slack. She Actually looked relieved to have come second, but eventually the pressure caught up with her. I thought she was very considerate and professional and conducted herself with more dignity than some of posters on here!

panic attacks and anxiety attacks are often uncontrollable and actually quite normal unless you have them on a regular basis and are set off by minor events. sometimes you mind just needs to break down temporarily but most of the time you should be able to get yourself together afterward.

If you put some thought to this story it's pretty sad actually. Why did she get so popular? Because she's probably one of the most ugly woman you've ever seen. And she can sing... For us, those things cannot match but apparently they can. Like we've seen on the previous "Britains got talent" season with Paul Pots. Ugly guy who sells phones and can sing pretty amazing. I bet that if Susan Boyle was hot as hell this story would never be as popular as it is now. But hey, that's what I think.

No, I must admit that I don't watch a lot of television, including but not limited to reality TV shows, nor do I keep up with or care about celebrity gossip.

And it is mostly teenagers watching these shows, none of them probably knew any of the songs she was singing seeing as their parents were probably not even born when they were playing on the radio! I think she looked relieved not to have won, who knows, but that's how her facial expressions looked. I'm not surprised she's had a breakdown, to be honest, I think I would too! And I think I'm a bit more worldly than her, although still a nobody. She's had that crazy Fleet St press hounding her. You're right though, she will make WAY more money than the winners. I wish her all the best!

I totally agree with you. If you watch her mouth before they announce the winner you can see her start to mouth Diversity. I think she was very happy that they won, especially after all the negative press she had during the week

Susan Boyle has Learning Difficulties due to oxygen starvtaion at birth! Cut the Lady some slack. She Actually looked relieved to have come second, but eventually the pressure caught up with her. I thought she was very considerate and professional and conducted herself with more dignity than some of posters on here!

panic attacks and anxiety attacks are often uncontrollable and actually quite normal unless you have them on a regular basis and are set off by minor events. sometimes you mind just needs to break down temporarily but most of the time you should be able to get yourself together afterward.
