If you mean F-22 vs Su-27/Mig29 (in basic edition with old radars) may be you are right. But not F-22 vs PAK FA. So PAK FA will destroy 4 or 5 F-15/16/18 before detection too.

The Su-27/Mig-29 can out preform a lot of US counterparts but not the F-22. If you compare the technologies between the two planes the F-22 is vastly superior to the Su-27/Mig-29 Finally, the Su-27/Mig-29 aren't stand off plans they are almost strictly limited to the dog fight role while the F-22 is equipped for both stand off and dog fighting.

Tu-95 is a home design you nitwit, the TU-4 is a copy of the B-29. Elementary design history, go look it up. Christie tanks did NOT have sloping armor, and the design was sold completely fair and square because the pentagon (as now) was then full of imbeciles who had no forward vision and foresight. AK-47 mechanism is actually more closely related to the M1 garand then it is to the STG-44, but then again you should ask an armorer to show you how.

@Volksturm88 Yes, but our F-15/16's are Cold War technology. The FA-18 Super Hornet could probably go toe to toe with the PAK FA. The Su-27/Mig-29 can out preform a lot of US counterparts but not the F-22. If you compare the technologies between the two planes the F-22 is vastly superior to the Su-27/Mig-29 Finally, the Su-27/Mig-29 aren't stand off plans they are almost strictly limited to the dog fight role while the F-22 is equipped for both stand off and dog fighting.

Tu-95 is a home design you nitwit, the TU-4 is a copy of the B-29. Elementary design history, go look it up. Christie tanks did NOT have sloping armor, and the design was sold completely fair and square because the pentagon (as now) was then full of imbeciles who had no forward vision and foresight. AK-47 mechanism is actually more closely related to the M1 garand then it is to the STG-44, but then again you should ask an armorer to show you how.

@TheKingnek. First of all, the F 35 is supposed to be able to sustain 9g turns. So it will hold its own. Second, the F 35 is the least the Pak Fa's worries with F 22's around.

Russia went through WW1, revolution, Stalin's terror, Hitler's invasion, Soviet repression, Soviet collapse- and they can still achieve this level of virtuoso design! A most impressive, talented country, I wish them the best. And it pisses me off that Washington and NATO keep putting the squeeze on them.

@AndrewtheDuke It must be about oil, I think...so we helped Georgia's Sakashvili (?) make his move, to get control over him and an alternate pipeline route, down through 'pipelinestan', as it's known. (And let me add, we Americans are against these wars, but our Oligarchs don't listen to us.) And Ukraine joining NATO? A buffer zone of neutral countries is so valuable, but Europe prefers to be aggressive. Russia's been the reasonable one, and I'm glad it's the one with air superiority now.
