Okay people don't get it, those clips in the video don't happen like that. To understand that it isn't cruel you have to see it yourself. The animals are treated very well, there are also laws. Example: In Calf Roping if the horse drags the calf more than 10 feet, you mave to pay up to a fine. There are rules, so animals don't get hurt.

I show many rodeo circuits . . . honestly things they do in rodeos are the same things they do on real ranchesand trust me i live on a Montana cattle ranch and this is how we make our living. We have to be a little rougher with the animal or they walk all over you. These animals are often the most pampered animals. Have you ever ment a rodeo bull or bronc? I own one of each and they are super papmpered and love life and they are often excited when the rodeo trailer comes to pick them up.

Like it or not Rodeo is an American tradition. People have forgotten how things use to be done. Back when there wasn't a grocery store on every corner, restaurant take-out, and fast food; people use to provide for themselves by raising cows. The events that you see in rodeo were necessary, calves needed to be doctored, horses need to be ridden to work their cows, cattle needed to be roped. There is still good rodeo and REAL cowboys out there. I own 3 horses. Ill love them till I die. I remember we asked some guy to break one for us. For 3 weeks we went to go see her after school She was fine. but we dont see her for 2 weeks we come back BAM ! Shes half dead theres horses eating mud because they where so hugry. That guy gave HIMSELF a bad name. NOT everyone who breaks horses. (By break i mean make it to where it wont buck)

First off, there are indeed, vets in the back who work on all rodeo animals. And 90% of the time, in calf roping, they wear horn guards to prevent injury. I don't believe that rodeos should be forbidden, but that events should be selected more carefully. Barrel racing, pole bending, etc are ok, but not this bronc busting, calf roping-yanking, dragging BS. Team penning is ok, not contact with the calves, just showing teamwork and reading animals body language. But I DO agree with shark...most of these events are cruel and unnecessary

thats nothing how steer roping happens you cant drag the steer, the steers wear protection on their head and horns and kneck and if an animall does not want to run or buck where im from if it does nothing we get it out of the pen and check it andlet it stay in the pen and then the next day will go on practice runs, and every animal gets medical attention if needed they are fed and cared for, my uncle ntill to this day has the same steers he used in his first roping more than 8 years ago
@allsports249 The steer busting you see in our videos is performed by the PRCA. Sometimes you'll see horn guards, but they do little to help broken necks, broken limbs, broken horns from the dragging. Besides that, in the videos you'll often see them roped around the eyes. And more often than not, the animals need to be sledded out because they can no longer walk.
look my uncle owns a roping association he only works in steer category so its a part of my life i go every friday to his ropings and ive never seen that happen, any way yore not supposed to do it like that in steer roping you rope the horns where a hard guard is put so the animal wont get burned by the rope and then it is still running and then you rope the legs and pull on it and it falls whwere it stands or just stays in place and the ropes are let loose and walks off into the pen and cont.

Okay people don't get it, those clips in the video don't happen like that. To understand that it isn't cruel you have to see it yourself. The animals are treated very well, there are also laws. Example: In Calf Roping if the horse drags the calf more than 10 feet, you mave to pay up to a fine. There are rules, so animals don't get hurt.

I show many rodeo circuits . . . honestly things they do in rodeos are the same things they do on real ranchesand trust me i live on a Montana cattle ranch and this is how we make our living. We have to be a little rougher with the animal or they walk all over you. These animals are often the most pampered animals. Have you ever ment a rodeo bull or bronc? I own one of each and they are super papmpered and love life and they are often excited when the rodeo trailer comes to pick them up.

Like it or not Rodeo is an American tradition. People have forgotten how things use to be done. Back when there wasn't a grocery store on every corner, restaurant take-out, and fast food; people use to provide for themselves by raising cows. The events that you see in rodeo were necessary, calves needed to be doctored, horses need to be ridden to work their cows, cattle needed to be roped. I think there are more serious issues in the world than wasting your time crying about animal abuse

It seems that the only videos you post is what shouldn't happen at a rodeo! The calves are NOT suppose to hit the ground by the lasso when roping, learn the rules of the event! The only cruel thing I see is the steer dragging, which is the only thing in rodeo that should be banned! Go to a reputable rodeo, film the whole thing, and post it!

There is still good rodeo and REAL cowboys out there. I own 3 horses. Ill love them till I die. I remember we asked some guy to break one for us. For 3 weeks we went to go see her after school She was fine. but we dont see her for 2 weeks we come back BAM ! Shes half dead theres horses eating mud because they where so hugry. That guy gave HIMSELF a bad name. NOT everyone who breaks horses. (By break i mean make it to where it wont buck)

First off, there are indeed, vets in the back who work on all rodeo animals. And 90% of the time, in calf roping, they wear horn guards to prevent injury. I don't believe that rodeos should be forbidden, but that events should be selected more carefully. Barrel racing, pole bending, etc are ok, but not this bronc busting, calf roping-yanking, dragging BS. Team penning is ok, not contact with the calves, just showing teamwork and reading animals body language. But I DO agree with shark...most of these events are cruel and unnecessary

When they're intentionally put into a situation where the risk of injury is great & brought on by men, such as roping/jerking down or dragging, or being forced to buck, then any resulting injuries or death is not an 'accident', but depraved indifference to the animal's welfare all for fun and prizes. If your ego needs to be stroked by either by besting others or by gaining others' admiration and approval, your self-esteem needs some adjusting.

thats nothing how steer roping happens you cant drag the steer, the steers wear protection on their head and horns and kneck and if an animall does not want to run or buck where im from if it does nothing we get it out of the pen and check it andlet it stay in the pen and then the next day will go on practice runs, and every animal gets medical attention if needed they are fed and cared for, my uncle ntill to this day has the same steers he used in his first roping more than 8 years ago

@allsports249 The steer busting you see in our videos is performed by the PRCA. Sometimes you'll see horn guards, but they do little to help broken necks, broken limbs, broken horns from the dragging. Besides that, in the videos you'll often see them roped around the eyes. And more often than not, the animals need to be sledded out because they can no longer walk.

look my uncle owns a roping association he only works in steer category so its a part of my life i go every friday to his ropings and ive never seen that happen, any way yore not supposed to do it like that in steer roping you rope the horns where a hard guard is put so the animal wont get burned by the rope and then it is still running and then you rope the legs and pull on it and it falls whwere it stands or just stays in place and the ropes are let loose and walks off into the pen and cont.

O.K. this is crap. The first thing i am going to say i am a vet. There is deep rooted american people right they have been doing this roping forever. Tourists sponcer rodeo. I barrel raced in high school i never saw any of this graphic nature. I do feel sorry for how far they are taking this rodeo will not stop. Oh and did you eat beef last night these cattle probably got worse treatment at the feedlot and slaughter house! The horses are actually like race horses injected with many medicinces!
