@torrents4u2c I know in my family, any donations at the door for publications, was "not ours" according to mom, we donated that money back to the WTS. So they got paid for publications, twice. At least from us, I don't know how many others did the same.

@Danmera, there is even an article (or articles) in WT publications by the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses, one of which is a "Questions from Readers" asking directly whether JW's weren't paying twice for the literature they place. The article denies that idea, then instructs JW's in couched double speak to donate twice- once for the literature when picked up at the counter in the KH, and then the money received from householder for "the worldwide work". It's disgusting and shameless.

Except for using WT jargon in certain cases and a few theologically self-serving editorial decisions, the New World Translation is actually pretty good according to many scholars. Robert M. Price (who has no dog in the argument) says that they did a pretty decent job, even avoiding some of the errors that other translations make. This is not to recommend the WTs research ability or honesty in general.

This documentary is well done, but it wouldn't challenge the faith much of a Jehovah Witness, all the topics witch have been brought up are good, but are not important. You should talk more about the Watchtower's false prophecies, change in doctrine, how scholars disagree with the "New Word Translation", and how their doctrine contradicts what is said in the Holy Bible (even their own translation)

Although I approve all comments before they are posted, I can truthfully say that only ONE JW troll, Jwincnt or whatever, tried on the second vid to deny aspects of the information, and his comments are still there. He shut up and went away when I posted the third video.

My point? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. While these vids are not necessarily for JW’s, they can serve as a mirror held up to their faces, if nothing else. The real truth is a scary thing for them. These vids are produced with non-JW’s and newly interested people in mind. You don’t have to cover the details of false doctrine and erroneously translated Bible passages when all you need to do is show how dishonest JW’s are. Thanks for watching.

The NWT isn't a lot different from other translations. In fact everyone is encouraged to study any and all Bible translations because the organization isn't afraid of you seeing a different one. We can go into why that is, but the point is that the NWT is a technically sound translation compared to the others. It's not like the Book of Mormon or something.

The King James has many errors. But the Watchtower's real problem is in interpretation concerning things like blood and sexual activity.

Such behavior sort of negates their assertion of having and promulgating truth. I think some of the material does that adequately. I never realized how I, too, was programmed to do this until, like yourself, I got away from the programming for a while. "Major modern" does not refer to its scholarly accuracy, but to the number of copies printed and distributed, and says nothing about the WTBTS's interpretation of Bible passages for the purposes of giving weight to their ever changing doctrines of supposed "truth".

If Christendom's ministers are Satanic, therefore liars, should we trust what the Catholic Encyclopedia has to say regarding the NWT? There are quite enough proven errors in the NWT.
