During the 80's and 90's listened to Husker Du and then Sugar. Never heard about Bob Mould being gay and I could care less. So what? His music is great and much better than a lot of the tripe from the past to present day. BTW - there are probably more closet gays per square inch on a NFL or AFL football field than any other area of the world. Why do you think they keep patting each others asses? Bob Mould rocks gay or straight! People who don't like it can F off. Bigots really piss me off!
Black Sheets had some of Bob's best solo material on it imo. Well, it was put out as a solo. Probably the last cassette I ever bought too, BabyBeastie or it might have been Sugar's Copper Blue a few years later as the store had no CD's of it in. ty for posting another great bit of Bob, Shaxan.
That was awesome, had no idea that he made a video for this.
Was he in Texas in the oil fields? Chained to a fence by a stars 'n' stripes bandana? Does it really go with the general theme of the song? Is the whole "It's Too Late" vibe about our carbon footprint? If so bravo for Bob. He was in there early. Not too sure about the bit where he was paddling though. And the necklace is superfluous, lose the necklace Bob.
I have watched Bob Mould since Husker Du....living in the midwest...we also had such bands as the Descendents or Bad Religion come around. This man has is together most of the time and if he doesn't, he's writing it down. A personal hero.

i just read a comment on another Vid that Bob is gay....is that why he is wearing a "COCKS" t-shirt in this Vid?....(fyi, i do know it is a south carolina gamecocks t-shirt, but yet it still sez cocks!)
Put Bob Mould in the Hall of Fame. Put Coolio and Li'l Wayne in prison. And expose U2 for the overrated half baked pieces of shit they routinely throw at people.

thnkyou mtv for not playing more sugar or bob he is ours no one elses they cant have him.
just glad i moved to md bob plays all the time in dc only 50 mins from my house woot.friggin dreams do come true. thankyou oh dark lord for all you have bestowed upon me ..HAIL SATAN!
ya talk to him? he's so fucking cool...asked him about the necklace he's wearing in this video ( he wore it for years ) at the beaster show in d.c. in '93...a carnival token...
"black sheets" is the pinnacle of '90s alt/post punk...this album is a seething slab of psychadelic alienation...a journey into the darkest core of all of us...genius.
Boy, I had forgotten how thin Bob was back in 1990! I had never seen this video before, but I do remember catching an incredible Black Sheets of Rain tour show at Bogart's in Cincinnati in 1990 ..... by far the loudest concert I've ever experienced. I remember my whole body being completely drained of energy from the sonic assault!
I first heard this song in San Diego back in '95 and couldn't stop playing it over and over again, probably over 100 times, but then I lost track of it and, not knowing much about Bob Mould and not remembering his name, didn't know how to locate it... This is the first time I've heard it since then and it's as great now as it was back then: Probably'll listen to it another 100 times!
Bob's music has been a big influence in my guitar playing. Kind of minimalist in the chordings, but the feel of how he plays is awesome. I wish someone would post a video of "Black Sheets of Rain." He wrote it after a visit to a steel mill in Cleveland, I can relate to his experience of the shitty situation, because I live there.
I've been looking for this for the longest time thanks for posting it! The 90's ruled. Brings me back to my college days....'90-'94...where the most amazing music was being thrown at you from all angles. Unfortunately the magic of the early 90's can never and will never be repeated. It was so nice to have been a part of it.
Another Holy Crap response....HOLY CRAP!!! Boy does this bring back the memories. Right when this CD came out I was going through a rough time with a girlfriend. She was supposed to come over and listen to the new Bob Mould CD. That is when I found out she was cheating on me. This CD, with all the anger and "me against the world" attitude helped me out ALOT. I never saw the video though. I think I'm going to fire up that CD and play it LOUD!!
i don't care if you just post the sound with a black screen, but i am DYING for a version "brasilia crossed with trenton." and "hoover dam." could you do it for a pretty girl like me? could ya?
i get goose bumps everytime i hear this song....bob=good

This album came out in 1991. It was two more years before PotUS even formed as a band.
I love the grunge thing, but Minneapolis should get credit for its great bands.

Sorry, like him, when living in Minneapolis, but the song isn't boring, it's just so average. Maybe just not my kind of music.
Try "Tribulation" by LCD or Blue October's 'Hate Me", and feel what's really going on NOW! It's not too late.....
