I do not know the "legend" behind this particular shindig, however I would swear by just looking at this clip that Stewart Copeland wants to ram his drumsticks into Sting's posterior at various points of this jam. Sting looks like he knows it, too! And sort of likes it! J/M.
about guitars, andys telecaster is not the original, its a TRIBUTE SERIES FROM FENDER, its got all the scratches and dents on it as the orginal, all the modified switches , pickups and buttons as andys original. you can order this from the factory!, it must be good if hes using it!!
"gimme some space" is also a way of indicting to the rest of the band that they need to open out (or quiet down) for a while because one of the bandmates wants to do a solo.
But in this instance, it fits well as both a request and a complaint. ;)
Really interesting to hear sting struggle with the lyrics big time on this song. Andy Summers started in the wrong chord. Copeland was okay. I guess after 20+ years of not playing this it takes some time to come back. Amazingly enough, sounded pretty good in the end.
sting has had that bass guitar forever!

It´s a Fender Precision Bass, a very old model. I guess it´s a 60's model, but I don´t know the exact year.

I think so... Sometimes, they appear to be kidding with each other, but is this case, I think it was a little fight...
