I was trying to figure out the same thing... He had big thumb nail, but it's hard to see the rest of his fingers. It might be a mix of both, considering that the nail seems to end at the edge of his finger.

Baden Powell was the best acoustic guitar player of his time. It's a shame he chose Europe and not the US to live and work, for he could have made his work more widely known in the world of jazz.

I agree. He was the best guitar player of his time but he was the greatest writer/guitarist of all time. The quality of his compositions is breathtaking. I guess he choose Europe because the mentality suited him more. He made his greatest records in german and french studio's. He was totaly free there. I saw him 3 times: Liege, Aachen and Bern. MAGIC!!
