He was a really nice man and musician and I had the luck to watch, listen and travel with him through Germany when he played with Geoff Muldaur. Best wishes to his family and friends from Gerrit, Bremen, Germany!
It's with deep sadness I got the news about TSB death. Since the first time I saw him smiling threw a hole Bonnie Raitt show in Gothenburg Sweden in the early 90', I've been following Stephens music. I been lucky to catch him two times solo in Sweden and once in Austin. He's music and lyrics has made me cry, smile and laugh threw the years. I never got to know him, but he felt like a friend. My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Stephen
This is just amazingly awesome. Firedoglake just did me a huge favor by turning me on to this. There is no substitute for Jerry Garcia, but the remaining members of the Dead are touring again & Bruton seems like a logical fit for a front guitar guy.
Stephen Bruton tours Northern California as a three-piece band which is top-notch entertainment but how GROOVEY to hear Stephen backed by a full band! Thank you Jay for this video... of course I immediately bought the dvd - I've gotta have more TSB! (I'm his Merch Slave when he comes to town, so he is a friend as well as one of my favorite songwriters) Thank you!
Stephen Bruton is THE most seasoned veteran side-man turned prolific American songwriter of our time...pay attention! SONGWRITERS...check me on this, listen to "From the Five"!!

Yes more please. Saw him at the Saxon in Austin with about 45 other people after the ACL fest. This guy is the real deal.
