@thchoi88 Agreed, it's sad to say, but many of the Korean SC2 players are just Broodwar rejects and close to none of the foreign players had any notable career in BW at all. That being said, I think TLO could've done it decently on the ladder (at least A), but I don't think he'd even qualify as a b-teamer on a korean pro-team.

@Taiki1234 its just the fact that koreans went crazy for SC n i was part of that craze... n then ongamenet and MBC game took it to next lvl of professional gaming... n BW just topped it haha.... n i think that many pros saw the unbalance of SC2 when it first came out n the fact that they literally do so much less managing of micro and macro on SC2... but who would say no to getting paid thousands a year to play a game and to hav celeb status.. i sure would love to do it,,,, :P

@thchoi88 Even though I play that game that some aspects of it are retarded. Introduction of FF, Conc shells and FG which basicly are anti-micro abilities when you almost dosen't have any units with micro potential (Collosi vs Reaver? Which is easier to use>_>?). The new larva (to a certain extent), chrono boost, WG and the new Nydus are also pretty retarded which makes map irrelevant and all-inns to powerfull. This SOME of the reasons why SC won't survive as en e-Sport unless something is done.

@thchoi88 i disagree ive played both and im big sc1 fan and i think sc2 is just as hard as sc1 because yes u can group massive emounts of units ezer and so on auto mine but that leaves more to the multiasking side cos u have more time to micro and move multiple groups high level play will show this when the game gets going after a few more years ull see people doing triple micro drops and so on

No, but the Koreans play so much SC that 1) they are very well practiced in it, 2) just having practiced with SC1 makes them better at many RTS's (because many include similar elements), 3) because when a whole country has an RTS as its national pastime, and being good at it brings you a lot of prestige, you are more likely to want to get good at it.

There are probably other reasons as well, but I'll leave it at those 3
