Let's be honest here. As much as PC gaming rocks, and even though PS3s and xbox 360s ARE computers just much more limited in what you can do on it.... As far as oblivion is concerned it's a toss-up. After playing the PS3 and computer versions, the PS3 version is MUCH better in almost all aspects. No lag, very few bugs, better graphics....... But even so, the mods you can get on the pc version make up for the flaws.

Though it would be nice to not HAVE to download something else to fix the game. (hard to believe the PC version has so many more bugs) it's nice to be able to get fixes. Some mods make the game sooo much different, so it's essentially a different game than you started with. This adds a LOT of playability. That being, said, once you start using mods it's hard to stop. I spend almost as much time looking for/adding mods than I do actually playing the game lol.

Actually, "lag" depends on the computer you play it on. For example, on the last main storyline quest, the game lags like heck on the PS3, but if you have a good computer there will be no lag. And also in the PC you get alot more view distance than on the PS3, and the graphics are really just the same thing lol.

@347avatar A lot of the mods are shit, but a lot of them add a lot more stuff to the game, i have the improved animation stuff, improved graphics etc. Makes the game better, even down to the nebula mod which makes the sky look even better. (Skyrim and the team take a lot of ideas from mods that are made)

@FearTheRage117 Crysis. and pc games graphical options trump console any day. in pc games you can adjust the graphics to be like 3 times better than the console version of said game. also, oblivion framerate on consoles is capped at 30. pc's framerate can be as high as is technologically possible. and you can hook up an xbox controller to a pc and use it to game, so that completely gets rid of your no joysticks for pc argument.

I think it was a failsafe, because it was in Morrowind, too. If you ever (by some glitch) got out of bounds while indoors, there's no way back in, so you fall for a few seconds, and then are spawned back into the room. I've done it in Morrowind and Oblivion.

There's also a glith when you jump to the roof of Castle Skingrad and fall off, the same thing happens: you land back in the Castle Courtyard. I wonder if it works with arrows and fireballs as well...
