I've seen various clips on jive, and yours is what I learned 45 years ago. Very well explained. Incidentally, I used this basic jive steps plus several other steps to court my wife lol. I'll look at your other clips and comments.

keep the right hand (from lady point of view) low, this is jive, not cha cha cha or waltz.

Rock step - you are doing very big step backward, try to do it smaller.

No, it's Ballroom Jive. Boogie Woogie and Rock and Roll are the closest to the 1950's style of dancing.
