Why this live version is much better than the CDS version? I'm so tired to listen Sinead's bad voice. She must know what she should do as a singer- STOP SMOKING!!!!
I think its much nicer when she tries to sing louder when she's live. On the cd she sings real soft and whispers parts of the song which makes the raspiness of her smoking show out more.

Wow....I can say that she did a stunning performance on that stage, even though she look heavy with her 4th baby. Sinead is one of the best female singers on this earth, Besides she has a lot of good song, but lately she try singing different type of musics, such country reggae which to me its stink, because she is not type for that kind of musics. Sinead, wake up go back where you belong to.....a pop music.
I think that she is simply reminding us that God is the same today as he was then. He still does all he can for his vineyard (his people). It reminds us that God has been good to us, he provided his son to take the place on a cross for our sins, for refusing to except what God has done for us his people, his vineyard.
... Gods message to his people was why after all i have done have you yielded bad fruit, bad grapes, done unjustly, gone after other gods, idols, pursuits, pleasures? Judah didnt listen and they were punished, by being taken into exile by a mighty nation.
This song is from Isaiah 5 in the bible. Isiah is Gods prophet to Israel/Judah. He speaks to them of the faithfulness of God to Israel/Judah using the metaphor of a vineyard. Judah is the vineyard that God is talking about, how he took care of it like a gardener...
This is not an anti-Palestinian song at all. It says to Israel if you take all the land, and lie about what you're up to, you will reap and produce sadness and bitterness. Which is true.
hope the Israelis can survive under more bombings today from Hamas terrorists - 15 rockets bombing a town called Sderot -- so tragic the bombing comes from Gaza which is now ethnically cleansed of Jews
yeah I sure feel bad for the Fascist regime of Israel. I do feel bad for the rest of my Jewish family. I just wish they would figure out that piece of land was not worth turning into the Nazi's to keep it. You heard me. I am a JEW... and I think Israel sucks as a nation.
They have done everything to turn our religion into a political weapon and used the holocaust to create a Nuclear armed fascist nation that puts walls around people... takes there land away.. and treats them like slaves.. AWESOME!!!! by the way those rockets being shot into Israel from Gaza is something called BLOWBACK read about it.
beautiful singing by Sinead, weeping for the Palestinian brutal abuse of their own children as fanatic adults strap bombs around these kids in order to murder other kids by blowing the up with explosives -- all in the "name of allah" -- may god save the world from Islamist terror
i didn't like most of Theology because her beliefs were so smothering, but this one i really liked. it's very sweet, even though i don't believe in it.
This song is so wonderful! It's about oppression in general, and God's dissapointment when His people don't obey his will and commands. There are many direct quotations from the Old Testament books of Isaiah and Jeremiah.
i've never seen this before...nor have i heard of it for i am still young o-o...11 to be exact. but i think this is beautiful nonetheless....she has such a way for expressing the words so it reaches people in a way that they can understand her point of view.i love it.please bring forward more information to me if you could ^-^
Sinead hasn't forgotten any victims-she sings to all,and has compassion in her heart for all.Bless the Irish Beauty for her gifts, which she shares so freely.
That is not the point of the song. The song is asking JEWISH people to obey Adonai and His commands. Two wrongs never make a right. Disobedience to God is disobedience, period. Perhaps Adonai expects more from his Chosen People.
i love her. i cant wait til theology comes out.thats dbl album.wow.english side and irish side.and also there will b dvd out later this year with live performance at sugar club in dublin.wow
NOthing, but nothing compares to the brilliant and beautiful Sinead O'Connor.I met her in Boston last December, when she took pity on the few of us outside in the cold, three hours before the show. She had us come inside, introduced us to her son, chatted graciously with us,and gave us each a genuine embrace. After all she's been through with the public and the media, she's still a shy and yet generous person.I admire her above all women.
Please post the rest of the songs from the show! I've seen one of the other videos, but I'd love to hear her sing "Black Boys on Mopeds" again after all these years.
I just would have loved to hear her singing TROY again after all these years... Please if you have any, post any live performance I will be eternally thankful!
Wonderful message for every citizen of this planet to carry in their souls. Sinead speaks the turth in an elegant manner. We should all help spread her words.
Well actually, this song has direct quotations from the Old Testament of the Bible. My view is that it's about Israel and when they do wrong but think they can get away with it...Sadness will come to those who present evil as good and good as evil! (Not just Israel but ALL humans who disobey The Lord!)
I saw her performing this same show in Milan a few days before... she performed The Healing Room, Big Bunch of Junkie Lies, Black Boys on Mopeds, then the new ones (This one is among her best ones ever) and then Untold Stories, Downpressor Man and Rivers of Babylon. Is there a chance to get the whole show?
Before the show, in the afternoon, I was outside the theatre and as I heard her trying some songs, I unsuccessfully tried to corrupt anyone around (the truck driver too!) to let me in, and while I was there, she appeared in front of me all of a sudden, but I got so excited the only thing I could say was "You're great...You're just great" she thanked while passing away, I felt so stupid for having not found any smarter words... lol! The show was GORGEOUS!
I saw her last year in concert she commented that she was a horrible guitar player. I was in the front row and her spit landed on my face. I tasted it like precious wine. After the concert we waited for her. There were only about 3 of us. She gave us long hugs and autographs. It seemed like she spent forever with us. Then about two concert dates later she cancelled her tour. Throat infection. She should not have been waiting outside like that with us. It was November in Chicago and very frigid.
Don't feel bad, Donnie. The one that probably really did it was when she was playing in Tampa the first week of December 2005, and she *played in the rain*. She kept getting mild electric shocks from her microphone, too, but she put on an amazing show for my best friend and a couple hundred or so other people outside an Irish pub anyway.
My God this is beautiful!! I am so excited about her new forthcoming Cd if this is the nature of it. So Spirtual!!!!! Once again Sinead touching my life with her music :)
i love how she can be herself and yet be such a devout Christian
