  • u can save the green part of the leeks. ie: to make soup. It can be frozen down. I never like to waste. :)

  • Good stuff! I usually split the leeks and rinse to remove any sand.

  • If you're cooking them relatively whole that's a good idea. If they're chopped then her method of dropping them in a bowl of cold water works even better.
