This game is great and all but I got one teeny bit of a problem. The only one thing I don't like about this game is the FUCKING LIFE BARS! Please! Next time when the enemy health goes all the way down! You stay down! You don't get second chances and make the health bar stay at 1! WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING!?! BRINGS MY PISS TO A BOIL! But whatever despite that, story and game play was still interesting and fun.

You guys don't have to use Agni to fight this boss, just use it to make her transform, and then fight her the old-fashion way, with all four characters.

That is what I did the last time I fought her and the battle lasted over 15 minutes before she died.

This is a great final battle: it is a horrible monster and the music gives me the creeps, plus the black background which fits really well. The only thing that fails is the difficulty :( It would have been great if Agni wasn't available for this battle.

It's actually rather standard. A lot of RPGs have a "real" final boss followed immediately by a "bonus" final boss, where you're given a ridiculous boost in power that makes the battle relatively easy despite the boss being immensely powerful. I've seen it in games like Wild Arms 2, Final Fantasy X (it's impossible to even lose that battle)... Hell, even most Sonic games do it.

all of this is true...but the battle interface is different and there is also actual descriptions to the items and equipment telling you what they do and if the armor or your weapon gives better stats or not which the snes version lacked...

If you turn into Agni to reveal her final form, but fight her without him. You can still get the good ending. Both forms are a lot more fun without Agni, regardless

This is one of the easiest final bosses of any game, honestly. As you can see, he is autoing the fight because as long as you're Agni you won't lose.

Agni does have maximum HP and def but the goddess is a beast and you will have to heal. If you don't have any good healing items like Melons, you can lose this battle.

I remember attempting to beat this boss without Agni, and my guys were all at about the standard level (40's I think?), and I was fighting this form of Tyr for about an hour and 20 minutes. Then, I was unable to last any longer and died. It's got to be nearly impossibly unless you're way overleveled or use Agni.

You do get a different ending.

If you beat her with the agni, you see them go back to the world and fix everything. If you beat them the long way, wait until after the credits are done rolling. ;)

i did it that way that was a true warriors way of beating her. This battle you just use agni attack 999dmg 30 times.Thats like 29970 HP total! Math is fun!

Hmmm....I kind of feel like this is an easy way to do it...It's much more challenging (and satisfying) to use your regular characters instead of Agni...but anyway, I'm not going to lie I used Agni my first time around, the second time however...Well, Rudra + Puka + Bleu + Nina (and sometimes Mogu) = FUN and a lot longer of a final battle...lol

Just level up people! I always take time to lv up my character. every level can give you the extra thing you need. like HP and agility and magicpower/attack! Lv50 for this battle is low. lv60 would make more difference!

Agni makes the final boss way too easy. I always go Agni to make her reveal her true form, then fight without Agni.

This is so easy if you have a shitload of Cure. It's not... that hard to get so much Cure either by the time you fight this boss. It just has thousands of HP. So, if your health gets to less than 140, anticipate the BigCrash attack every time and heal the upcoming round. Unless you have higher stamina than the boss a la this video, then 70.

Or Melon could work too, lol. =D

I noticed this earlier when I was watching my friend play this game. Why does her bar be almost empty and it not kill her? It just stays low forever. I noticed that with alot of bosses. Why don't they just have the max hp on the bar?

They probably do it like that so you can't tell what the bosses HP's are. They could of done a better way to do it using question marks or some crap but this way works too. Your never really sure how long a battle is going to drag on for when you get them down to that little sliver of health.

The bosses have extra HP beyond their "death point." It's normally around twice as much as their original HP, but in the final boss' case, it's... a lot more.

One thing I never understood, why fighting the first form without Agni is harder then fighting the second form without using Agni again once she has transformed.
