  • @McDrummerSLR I want his drum kit

  • Stewart is so darn cool. Such a great drummer, and love that kit!!!!!!

  • Yamaha are the best drums. Paiste are the best cymbals. This equipment is used by the world's greatest rock drummer Larry Mullen Jr.

  • arabic music is pure shite to the western listener

  • When people have a genuinely humble ignorance about their own greatness, it just makes them greater!

  • unique-a-tude

  • Bone-a-phone,that makes sense.

  • He created music for spyro!:D

  • He got real lucky because he's sooo damn good is why!

  • 1 person can't move his beat a quarter note to the left

  • Copeland is a top drummer, for me he is the best ! unique style and sound. the guy is so modest " the police invented me as a musician" top line top guy top drummer

  • damn right tama drums r still the best drums on the market

  • @wp08021 No

  • Hey Stewart, why the LONG face?! Lol!

  • 3:15 Holy Shit!!!!!

  • What a totally top geezer - destroys the myth about drummers not being intelligent

  • @shardennefroider That is just it a myth. Neil Peart isn't nicknamed "The Professer" for nothing. Love Stewart & the Police too though.

  • el mejor sin duda

  • triggered snare? o_O

  • Abbey Road or Addictive Drums should make a Copeland set.

  • Un grosso.

Con escuchar sólo un compás del tipo ya sabés que se trata de él. Muy pocos pueden darse ese lujo.

  • my kit is worth 12$

  • I love his humble-ness! I love him and he is in my top 5 favorite drummers of all time :)

  • Wait, let me right this down....move everything.... one quarter.... left.

  • Great drummer. Kind of an asswipe, though..

  • @shiznicks74 huh? asswipe??? Wow

  • Great drummer!!!

  • UNIQUE-ITUDE

  • What are his drums? Starclassic.... Maple?

  • @Salzcamino yes

  • really down to earth guy

  • such an intense-talented individual! Maybe mellowed(in mood, not playing) with age. I saw the Police reunion tour back in 2007 in Montreal, He was the most impressive.

  • @FingersPlainview most impressive, AGREED! :)

  • this is amazing

  • What a cool video! Love Stewart Copelands feel and sound behind the kit. Sychronicity was a little bit hi-fi and I prefere the style of the earlier Police albums but his drums have always sounded fantastic.

  • In the mid 80's I had 4 octobans of the same sizes. I could kick myself in the teeth for selling them! The cost to replace them now is out of my range.

    Stupid!!!!

  • It's a great set, but I could piece together a way better set for 10,000 bucks.

  • for 10,000

but copeland is a mastermind and if u bothered to listen to ANY of their songs, it suits the songs PERFECTLY i'm sure you could make a better kit for YOURSELF but now for POLICE or he would have found it.....

  • @explodingpimp Wow, you must be so proud.

  • "Bell-Bottom Blues" by Derek and the Dominoes has a drum beat that is one beat to the left :-(

  • hahaha, what a guy

  • what does he mean one quarter not to the right thats how he got famous?

anyway man is a genious, he thinks differently then any other drummer and the reggae rock mix is still something that guys dont do these days. he's a genious

  • Kobeownzu81, he means rhythmic illusions...

Basically, whereas the band is playing standard time, you are ahead of them by a quarter note (or behind as he said he did)...it makes it sound funky as hell, but when done properly, it adds room for serious improv

  • @veilside240SX thanks i think i understand what you are saying. my friend was explaining it to me a little bit too. he is such a clever guy haha

  • $10,000 for this kit

  • humble?? bullshit this guy lost my respect when he said drums were easy to play

  • He finds it simple. He's genuine. He doesn't mind being freak or funny. He's just himself, why would he lie? :)

  • hes not genius...JoJo and Benny Greb are GENIUS

  • Mmmmm..

What he should have said was "he finds them easy to play".

He's got natural talent so I guess ....thery're easy to play.

  • i have no respect for anyone who doesnt recognize a little playful exaggeration. know anyone who fits that description..?

  • hahahaha, he is just a smart ass

  • This man took drums to a whole new (different) level!!

  • Copeland is the fuckin man! Lmao

  • He was SO far ahead of his time. Married rock and reggae, properly introduced the flam to modern music, and, got through his career very cleanly. He is still not 1 per cent less humble than when he began. You Police Members were the punkers WITH a brain.

  • "uniqueitude" Add that to Webster's :)

  • the drums have triggers

  • and .. ?

  • I want his octobans

  • i want you

  • @McDrummerSLR Then buy em.

  • Haha, he's a really funny man.

  • All genius' play Paiste cymbals and gongs!

  • a fucken Genius

  • Stewart, you could play on tin cans and a toilet seat cover and it would sound good. I bet you dance good;

  • Watching Stewart Copeland play brings me back to the 80s when I played for many years. Makes me want to get back behind the kit... Maybe I'll teach my son.

  • Not quite an exact copy of his 1983 kit because his 1983 kit had 3 rack toms whereas his 2007 kit had 2.

  • you are correct and i thought the same thing. stewart rules!! he also only played one floor tom in the older days.

  • This man is beyond intelligence. If anything he invented it. Especially when it comes to drums and drumming.

  • Can't be an "exact copy" of Synchronicity drums...those were Imperial Stars, these are Star Classics...big difference in construction and sound.

  • He's my mentor. I get to play drums for a living cause of this man

  • Stewart looks like he'd be the coolest person to know. I mean, he's not just the best drummer ever, but he seems really quite smart and articulate in this video. And he has a quirky sense of humor. See 3:50

  • Gorilla. I love'um he makes all the sence in the world.

  • nice but not worth 10gs

  • he is so cool.

  • he's just like me, but he's legendary!

my first instrument was trumpet though
