  • I imagine if you stopped Blacks from breeding or simply kicked Blacks out of the country, the country would save a significant amount of money and would improve the country dramatically in many ways.

  • "not interested you pussy politicians"!!!

Adam for leader of the world!

  • I have a better idea. How about give votes by how high your IQ is. You want smart people running the country, no? Not some dick who can sing or some lucky fuck won the lottery or is attractive enough to get a gig on a soap opera.

  • The reason people like Adam don't get more for their money is because a fucking radio host doesn't work harder than coal miner but, the coal miner gets paid a lot less. And society definitely needs coalminers or teachers or cops a hell of a lot more than it needs radio hosts. I'm fired up.

    @harrypalms1112

It's harder to replace a talk show host than a coal miner or a plumber. That's why Adam gets paid far more than a blue collar worker.

  • I love Adam but I would say to him not every person born to a screwed up person is a screwed up person.

  • It actually brings up a fundamental question. Should someone be paid according their value to society, or should their wage be determined by the demand of a segment of consumers? After all there are plenty of people that don't give a damn about Adam Carolla, whereas nearly everyone is concerned with education.

  • @evolve749: In actuality, I think your fundamental question is whether or not it's fair that Carolla gets paid more than a teacher or doctor. My counter question is: does it really matter that carolla gets paid more? ....It seems that YOU value doctors and teachers more and therefore u want to assign an arbitrary payment method according to YOUR values. That's not the way economics works.

  • @evolve749: And sure, people do value education in our society.....but the fact of the matter is that they seem to value entertainment more....and you can see that value by the sheer amount of money that the entertainment industry wields. I mean, where do u think all that money comes from? ....Teachers and doctors already have quite a handsome salary as it is; so it is not like their unvalued (or un-subsidized). But as I said, take away government controls and they'll prolly make more.

  • @evolve749: Here's something to think about: do congressman, politicians, senators, governors, and presidents get paid according to their value? I would say "I don't know" since the people have never been given the opportunity to voluntary pay for their services. Instead we're FORCED to put money in their pockets via taxes. Presidents are lucky because they are exempt from the laws of supply and demand and therefore they can't be fired if they don't produce results of value to the people.

  • I love it when filthy rich people complain about taxes. The reason you pay 800K a year in taxes, Adam, is because you make 2 million dollars a year. I'd be happy to make 2 mil a year and keep 1.2 of it. I'd be fucking ecstatic. I like Adam, but this is just nonsense. Greatest philosopher my ass.

  • @evolve749: You could make 2 million a year as well just like Adam......only if you conduct business that results in u making that much money a year. You must supply something that is high in demand. I imagine that high-income earners are very smart, work really hard, and are also possibly really talented. Whatever money you are currently making is a reflection of your productive value to society. Adam Carolla is really funny, smart, ad has great speech skills. Thats why he makes the big bucks.

  • @summercures2 "Whatever money you are currently making is a reflection of your productive value to society." Really? So in your estimation, Adam Carolla is more valuable to our society than say..........a school teacher, a nurse, or a medical researcher? I'd be interested to see how you justify that statement. I wasn't even commenting on his salary or mine. I was simply highlighting the fact that taxes are proportional to income. Someone who makes more money will pay more in income tax.

  • @evolve749: Yes, that is correct. There is more of a demand from consumers for Adam Carolla than there is for school teachers and medical researchers. That is exactly why he gets paid more than them. U must not forget that companies are consumers as well......and due to competition, there are various radio stations that are bidding for Adam's talents. When a radio station employs Carolla, they are paying for his talent so they can acquire more listeners. That's how supply and demand works.

  • @summercures2 You're shifting the goal posts here. First it was about one's value to society, now it's about supply and demand? You're comparing apples to oranges. You're taking a private company like a radio station and applying the same standards to a public servant like a teacher, firefighter, police officer, etc.....The reason public servants don't get rewarded according to performance is because they are all held to similar standards and are expected to perform at the same level.

  • @evolve749: Supply and demand is precisely what explains "value." If u demand/value more apples than oranges then companies will supply u with more apples in order to maximize profits. ...The reason why the entertainment buisiness is so rich is becus there is an extremely high demand for entertainment. Therefore if u work in that business your likely to get paid disproportinate amounts of money as compared to other industries. Entertainment is very valuable to society and thus its a rich biz.

  • @evolve749: My understanding is that the education system and medical industry do not neccessarily reward talented teachers or doctors. Those government-run systems simply do not allow for teachers and doctors to take their own approach to teaching and medical practice because of strict government controls. But even if such government controls didn't exist and various schools could bid for the most talented teachers, for instance, Adam would still make more becus entertainment market is bigger.

  • @evolve749: And if we lived in a truly equal society, high-income earners, moderate-income earners, and low-income earners would all be paying the exact same amount in taxes. Obviously, the tax amount would have to cater to the lowest common denominator which are low-income earners.

  • Adam makes me proud to be an American!

  • Only his arguement is a little flawed because if people who paid $100,000 or even $35,000 in taxes got more than one vote and the people below that less than one vote than no doubt there would be a lot of rich assholes controlling it all and maintaining their own agenda. I, of course, agree with the overall message Aceman is getting across though.

  • @mont3818 rich assholes are already controlling it.

  • @hmtgoroc1 my thoughts exactly. i guess he's never heard of the federal reserve.

  • "You wanna pay 800 grand? Then shut your hole!" LOL!

  • thnx!
