Air-ride is meant to improve you ride quality...not make it worse.."bag over axle" is the worst possible ride scenario...that said, yes longer links do give you a better pinion angle(which is easier on bushings, bearings and splined shafts) but having "bag over axle" only makes the rear of your ride stiff and bouncy....which in return binds things up...and defeats the purpose of long link bars...decreases the articulation
@AndrewKH85 the longer links provide a better pinion angle through the travel, even though usually there is only about 8 to 9 inches of travel, the links still pivot around a single point, creating a curve, the longer the links, the larger(but less dramatic) the curve.
not a kit....everything was fabricated except for the air spring mounts. the links were completely fabricated from scratch using DOM cant remember the size of anything though. sorry
air bag mounts* i meant. but yeah the links, link mounts/brackets, crossmember, and the kickup were fabricated by hand. the DOM tubing to make the links were the only things we bought except for the air bag kit. everything else was just pretty much scrap metal we found.
cool im atemping this on my pickup truck i can weld and have set up rear ends before but the geometry, pinion angle and how much it will sit with weight worries me alittle !
techer for life is that in blairsvill?

curious why mini truckers strive for such long links when they only have a few inches of travel?
