@MySensualWorld Hi and thanks for your posting! The video was made a few years ago as we were just starting out making videos. We hope that you were at least able to get some useful information from the video even though you had to mute it. As they say... you can please some of the people some of the time but you cant please all the people all the time :)
Hi we havent tried soaked nuts yet to be honest as the factory told us the peanut butter housing is mainly for peanuts. Hard to say what will come out from soaked nuts. We can try within next video =).
I'd really like to see how it makes the soaked nut butters. That's a critical feature for me when trying to decide between this and saving up and waiting a little longer for a Norwalk. Thanks.
ITS A REAL BUMMER YOU HAVE TO CUT UP EVEN YOUR CARROTS?! I WOULD BUY IT WITHOUT HESITATION IF THE HOLE WAS LARGER. I NEED QUICK BECAUSE I'M GOING TO HAVE TO JUICE MANY TIMES A DAY FOR HEALTH REASONS.
Can you do a NEW video where you are cleaning the Angle
Juicer.
After I juice with the Angel I can't remove the TWIN GEARS from the TRITURATING SCREEN unless I bang the TRITURATING SCREEN very hard on my hand. My hand hurts for hours after cleaning with the Angel Juicer.
SOFT FRIUTS!
Does not do soft fruits very well! Starts to back up and come out of the top where you put in the fruits.
Actually the Angel does an excellent job with soft fruits which you can see here (search Green Star Elite vs Angel Juicer part 1 and part 2 ). As well, we already mentioned below that removing the screen from the gears is very simple. Open the clamp, turn on the machine and the sieve will automatically slide off the gears and turn off automatically after sliding about 3cm off the gears. We hope this helps. Keep juicing!
I have an Angel juicer and I use it almost every day before i go to work. The cleaning is easier than an other juicer I have used. It only takes a few minutes/ If tap the end of the unit were the gasket is gently on the bottom on the sink the twin gears slide out very easily. Soft fruits take a little longer because they have more juice in them.
@mickwhitlock1 Hi and thanks for your comment. Another and easier way to get the gears out it to simply open the clamp which locks the sieve to the motor and hit the start button. All the while holding the clamp open. Try that and let us know how it works for you. It is much easier and more gentle on the sieve.

@rawisin Also there is a new pusher with the Angel Juicer with a silicone seal. Ask the people who sold you the Angel if they have the wooden silicone pusher!

SOFT FRIUTS!

@rawisin Well, I wouldn't expect any juicer to do soft fruit very well, too thick and not enough water (ie; bananas or mango or strawberry or kiwi fruits)
I agree...the music's great. I wonder if they'll include a cd of the piano music if you order a juicer? I would like to listen to it while I'm juicing.
I've been following the Angel Juicer history and the company. They went under in 1999. They where having lots a problem with there machine back then.
One problem-After juicer, the 2 twin gears get stuck in the housing part and you have to bang the housing to get them to come-out of the housing. NOT GOOD!!!!
Actually, the company never "went under" or else they wouldnt still be offering machines. The problem which you mention about banging to get the gears out is new to us. I assume you have an Angel Juicer? One trick to get the gears off is to open the clamp (leaving the sieve on) and turning the machine on. The whole unit will slide off and the machine will turn off automatically. We hope this helps!
Beeing curious about the juice yield I opened a Norwalk brochure "Model 275 Brochure" on Norwalk homepage. There is a test on the first page on the left saying: from 5pounds (=2,268kg) carrots Norwalk gets 57ozs (=1,6857 liter) of juice. Calculated on 1kg is 0,743 liter of juice. If you check the juice yield from 1kg of carrots in our video with Angel we get 720ml (0,720 liter) There is difference of 23ml of juice. IMPORTANT - the tests have to be done with the same carrot to get exact numbers!
These work well for veggies but not very well for fruit. The problem with my Angel juicer is that the pulp does not extract very well from the end of the machine. This requires that you disassemble the entire machine, clean out the stainer and reassemble. This is extremely annoying and time consuming. The juice it produces is excellent but not worth the trouble.
Which fruits are you juicing exactly and have this problem? There is a new (optional) coarse sieve coming for the Angel so this might solve your problem. We have thoroughly tested the Angel for soft fruits such as oranges, grapes and hard fruits such as apples and we never need to disassemble the machine for cleaning.
Works fine with apples and veggies but citrus jambs up at the end very quickly. My machine is about 11 years old so this problem may have been addressed with the newer version but I am not paying $1000 for a new one as the old one cost me over $700. I should probably contact the company to see if they have a solution.
11 years.. wow.. this is for sure one of the first models. Angel juicer have a long history and the factory always improves and changes the juicer to make it better. I am sure if you contact the factory they will help you and have some solution for you.
agree - this juicer and all two-gear types are very slow and has problems with soft fruit - relativly strong pushing is neccesary and this causes all soft fruits is jamed - i don´t like it
If you enter this "Green Star Elite vs Angel Juicer part 1" into your search bar here, this will give you more information. Juicing is a slow process, only then do you get the most out of it. You can of course to go with a centrifugal juicer as well and will be done much faster but the yield and juice quality can simply not be compared. It all comes down to what is important, speed or quality...
@robertparker9999 yea, and what's with the little, tiny feeding throat??? it doesn't look like you could even fit a large carrot through that thing let alone even a small whole apple. looks like a pain in the ass to clean too. i'm looking at the norwalk, but it's ungodly expensive.
I also looked at the norwalk and what turned me off instantly was the bags. Nobody can tell me that these things remain sanitary and various forums will tell you the same. Regarding the feeding chute, the only juicers that can do whole apples are centrifugal juicers and they lack when it comes to juice quality and yield. The Angel is cleaned in not even 2 mins, I dont think the Norwalk can claim that in all honesty either.
i'm no norwalk fan-boy :). it does seem like a pain in the ass, but so does this one. i checked on amazon, and there was at least one sort of negative review (saying it took a long time to clean). i think a centrifugal juicer that you will use because it is very easy, is MUCH better than any other juicer that you won't use because it is too time-consuming/too much of a hassle. i'm still looking into everything and open-minded. right now, i use breville juice fountain elite and an old champion
One thing that needs to be mentioned here is that there is no "perfect" juicer which suits everyones needs perfectly. We look at it like this... Juicing with any juicer (centrifugal or higher revolution juicer) is healthier than industrial juice, juicing with a cold juicer (under 200 rpm's/min) is much better than one with high revolutions. The question should be, what is priority for me, best juice quality/yield, cost, health,... All of this can be obtained.
yea, i agree about there being no "perfect" juicer. i guess if one could afford it, they would ideally have a couple of juicers. i think one thing that makes a juicer ideal, is simply whether you use it or not. i dont have a lot of time, so a juicer that takes a long time to use and clean isn't ideal for me. also, i think there is a study i read saying "heat" doesn't play the role people think it does, meaning a centrifugal doesnt heat up enough to damage the juice. the breville is fast & easy
We would like to really see this report as all reports which we have read shows the opposite. It is not only the heat which influences the quality of juice on a centrifugal juicer but the high revolutions brings a lot of foam into the juice which then oxidizes pretty much instantly which can be seen when the foam turns brown very fast.
ok, i'll see if i can find it. it said most juicers don't generate enough heat to damage the juice and they had the specific temperature that has to be reached before enymes (or whatever) start getting destroyed. if i can find it again, i'll post the location here. it was a few weeks ago that i read it, so the links and traces of it on my pc might not be there anymore. i read a lot of articles about juicing
You are UNBELIEVABLE!! All a person has to do is use their brains to figure out that all you have to do to sanitize a cloth bag is to wash it with HOT water, or just pour boiling water over it! The ONLY way to get the highest level of juice extraction is to squeeze the produce with a powerful hydraulic presser!! That is the ONLY way! I have tried TONS of juicers, and literally EVERY juicer causes produce to go to WASTE, except for the Norwalk!! I'd like to see you argue THAT!!
We have been selling juicers since 1992. One of the most asked questions is cleaning. When it comes to bacteria and sanitary conditions, it cannot be argued that juicers without juicing bags are going to be more sanitary. When it comes to juice yield, we will be doing a comparison of the Norwalk vs Angel Juicer in the near future and then publish them here on youtube. If you subscribe to our channel, you will be automaticall informed when the video is uploaded.

@lunakaefi it matters at least a LITTLE where it is made. nice to have things made in the USA (assuming you are an American) when possible just to support American workers.
I have been to countless forums before purchasing and not one single person who has the latest model said anything negative about the Angel.
