I have the ST-7300, but I use it with the SU-7700 amp. I used to have the SL-74 turntable, which lasted about 20 years, and the RS-615US, but it died after about fifteen years. However, it was one of the best cassette decks I ever had. I ran the lot through a pair of Celestion Ditton 22s, then 33s and, later, the 44s. I love Technics as a brand, but I also think Sansui was a giant in the 1970s and early 1980s. So many good makes around, and you have one of them. ENJOY !!!
I finally have a system almost like yours (the european versions with no wood furniture)! What's different is the amplifier (SU-7300), the turntable (SL-1900) and the speakers (SB-4500). As soon as I get a higher quality video cam, I'll make some videos about it.
These are imho the best looking Technics components ever. And they are rock-solid and sound awesome! Please keep them!
My brother had a Teac system which looked very similar to that back in 1979. At last I've found something British! Most Hi-fi on here is American versions.
Hey, try to find the SU-7700, it's a beatufil amp with VU meters, quite powerful, 2x60W @ 8Ohm and 450W power consumption. If you have luck you can find it cheap.
BORAT has one of these !!!!

Looks so awesome. I wonder how it compares to a modern amplifier.
