We generally roll up on a Sunday afternoon at the Hyde Park, skat eup and dance. We usually teach each other. Apart from the cost of buying your own skates, beverages and travel to & from it's free.

Yup. I'm in the midst of a divorce sadly. But on the upside, stress is condusive for weight loss and time away from home at week-ends means I can work out a l'il more.
I got into early house in the late 80's, then garage then Go-Go. Gotta love Chicago and Detriot for soulful music :)
Another upside is I shall be able to travel Stateside soon (finances permitting) and I cannot wait to see how my skating cousins roll in the flesh :)
