I remember when Alison was a kid in San Diego. She was very definitely a banjo prodigy in her teens.

I watched you on Alison Krauss video. You had to hold back but I could see you wanted to cut loose, you couldn't stand it you wanted to GO. You hit three licks to everone else's one. I watch you here on youtube and have for two years in unbelief. Watching you brings me lots of Happiness and at 63 I need it. Wish you well and gook luck, May GOD bless you

Alison is one with her banjo. As talented as the great Bela Fleck.
Met her years ago in Ottawa I was taken back by the whole band. Alison Brown has got great taste and feel on that there banjo, she was playing along side Alison Krauss at that time.
