  • I love this hymn but this is a rather odd arrangement and the diction is not crisp. My favourite is the version by the choir of King's College, Cambridge

  • for my final i have to memorize this whole songggg!!!!! wow its taken me 2 hours so farr

  • We're doing this song for our holiday concert in choir! Go alto part!

  • ive got to learn this song with no sheet music and no music o.O

  • our choir sang this except the sopranos sang the second phrase the "in mundo nascitur' part. and we started the "magi tres" in unison only for a few beats and then split up. we also sang the ending different. u guys sing beautifully though! =D

  • My concert choir is performing this song tonight.... It is one of my fave songs that we are performing tonight..

  • I sang this in 5th grade choir, and I could never remember the first line or the title. I'm in high school now, and it randomly came to me. Good job on this haha. :)

  • the guy in the begining i luv his hair lol

  • i too sang this song in my middle school choir but the version we did was a little different and we had hand bells and those hand drums instead of flute

  • i have to sing this in a choir. we have a different version though

  • Haha me too.

I think this song is just awesome ^-^

  • very professional tone and sound. I like the flute as well. It gives it a brighter tone.

  • Awesome Tenor section. Sounds like it's a bunch of opera singers.

  • Ooo... I like this arrangement and the piccolo part with it. Very well done.

  • our class is about to sing this piece. but we sing first 'et de vir vir vir' then 'et de vir vir' and last 'et de vir'?

  • Same with mine (:

  • no way! we have liek the exact same dresses and we are singing it for our humongus holiday concert

  • Great performance. Vowels, diction, tonallity were fantastic. Women were a little over powering and blend could be omproved

  • my middle skool is doin this 2 we are doin it for u.i.l. competition its guna b gudd!!

  • I love that dude with the cool Snape hair.

  • I almost peed myself laughin at that!! HAHA XD

  • @fortlansing Playing a snake-esque instrument too.

  • my school chamber choir does this song

    i love it

  • Isn't it 'Ideo' [meaning therefore] not 'Etevi'? >_> Maybe they had different sheet music than we got.

  • My choir does this song, too...

'Ideo' is only used in the last page and a half. It does say 'Et de vir' at the beginning...

  • A bit slow for my tastes, but still excellent!

  • my choir is singing this song(:

    its so pretty!

  • veryy well done. my middle school choir is doing this piece, but we're doing mostly the english. except for "ventre procreatus" and those parts.

  • My choir is singing this at the Christmas concert! Whoo! GO altos! Even though the choir directer asked if I'd do the flute (eww- PICCALO... No way!!) at this.

Jk. Piccalos are ok... but FLUTES FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is not a good arrangement at all. . . good performance of it, though.

  • agreed.

  • agreed

  • wow wtff is w/ that piccolo lol. messed up shit right thurr ahaha. good performance from women besides that. men could use a little work.

  • the tenors sounded a little funky to me.This was a likable arrangement though.

  • can you tell me who the arranger and publisher of this arrangement. thanks. =]]

  • The third part very confusing:DThe last part best ..but i always got it wrong:D

  • DAY WHEN JESUS WAS BORN!!i love this..my choir and i just sang it 1 month ago:Dbut this is a clearer version

  • Great job, i really like this arrangement of the song, and the flute was a nice touch. You all are very precise where cut offs are concerned. You blend well and are balanced. There is a tenor on the men's part that sticks out a bit though. Good job

  • believe me, as part of this choir, that tenor ALWAYS stuck out.

  • lmao ok.

  • Excellent job, COS! I performed this piece when I was at Porterville College in the mid-80s and it was nice to hear your version! I used to be friends with one of the former COS choir directors, Steven Kikugawa, who has sinced pass on, but it sure did bring a smile to my face to hear that COS is still pumping out good choirs! I've always thought that part of the valley ALWAYS produces great musicians!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Great Song! we did it as a persessional at my high school. but i like your version better. Very Accurate on the tempo and overall Rhythm...Well done

  • I love this song. Me and my choir we sang that song .
