Rare has always been really really good at making "creepy/scary" levels. The Banjo-Kazooie's Mad Monster Mansion kinda freaked me out when I was a kid. Never played fully through this game though. :-(

@Hoppaman23 I actually found that Banjo-Kazooie was creepy all the way through. The shark scared the crap out me in Treasure Trove Cove. Hell the snowmen in the snow level where just...mean looking. The kremlins and enemies in DK64 don't even compare to the ones in Banjo-Kazooie.
