@justmymage CO-CREATOR, and not his fault: no ones fault. the device was not the best, but it did work, and wasn't THAT bad.. the games were never really designed well for it: gameplay didn't force in rest periods like the developer documentation specified and nothing was really ever made to fit the intent of the system.

And let's not even get into Gumpei... you will get your ass kicked for that one.

I just disagree. It was an early attempt at virtual gaming, albeit a strange and impractical one. The strange and awkward consoles are what make video game history interesting. I have one myself, and to be honest, it's one of my favorite consoles.

because final fantasy 7 couldnt fit on an N64 cartridge, and they couldnt make one game on multiple carts.

they pretty much had to sell it since it took a LOT of time to make.

The only way they could have sold it was to sell the rights over entirely to the creators to do with as they pleased...

and thus, after Final Fantasy 7 was released, Nintendo had no more say in Final Fantasy, besides remakes and what they bought for the DS...

unless I'm wrong ^.^
