Hitler Wants to Play Warhammer 40K

GW makes unpainted small pieces of plastic that arent even cut out of the cast, but instead of selling for the price of green army men they charge $60+ dollars EACH. Anyone who buys these figures are either very gullible, or they have to much money and time on there hands. Stop supporting a Monoplized industry, if GW falls smaller companies will have a chance to offer better priced wargames instead of GW shutting them down instantly.

I played Fantasy. I was considering getting into 40 but the mythos just never called me, and the gameplay seemed to be just who can throw out more dice per turn.

OH man i wish Nids were that good I would have won more than 4 games since i started playing them in Jan this year. And before you say i suck I have bought 6k points worth of models to try every configuration under the sun but when everyone you play is SM CSM or IG using super armor spam lists where the guys in the tanks are naked and they stack points on tanks to tear my nids apart. There is only so much i can field to hurt armor effectively. Even different tactics don't work for me. T-T

@zeldakitsch ya when they don't take a lot of armor Nids own the battle field just get the right units into cc and wreck shop, but when all the nom-tastic bits are in a nasty crunchy shell and all you can do to crack it is use hive guard, zopes, a Tfex, or get lucky with a venom shot or rending theirs not a lot you can do. I don't know I think ill blame the dice gods on this one because the biggest thing is me making them make 15-20 saves and them passing all w/ or w/out feel no pain.

@zeldakitsch I have taken your idea into consideration and have ran into the following problem. The only other gaming clubs around me play Flames of War and Warmachine almost only and the one other GW in driving distance I think mainly plays fantasy but i am sure that they have the same mess of tank happy people for 40k as well. 5th ed is just pro armor and in the end pro IG, SM, and CSM. Dont get me wrong i have tabled both BA and GK armies with my Nids but that only came to bad rolls on them.

@nithia fair enough mate. There is a lot of discussion about whether nids are good or bad but in the end it just comes down to environment. What armies ppl use, and what kind of player they are. I have been really fortunate to play against mostly excellent people with non tournament armies. got tabled very easily the other week by ultramarines for example. But it is annoying with the current trend for players putting all their tasty morsels inside crunchy shells!
