Is it a good idea to plug in a 11.1 lipo battery in this stock gun? :S I see that you often just put a lipo in the test guns.. but that doesn't seem like a very good idea for longer term.. Also acts misleading when showing the gun off, since the ROF is affected.

It's because it varies slightly from gun to gun...G&G sometimes puts in stronger springs in different batches they make... BUT, FPS is NOT everything (except if you're worried about cqb rules). 400fps JG has less range than a 280fps TM.

Alright since you're so all knowing explain to me why my 7.4v 2800Mah 20C Li-Po fires 15-16 bps in this AEG and my 7.4v 4000Mah 20C Li-Po gets 18-20 bps. Same Tenergy batteries, Same full charge, same damn gun.. I'll post a video if that would shut you up.

If you read through my comments you will get some pretty detailed spec on this gun, which I DO own. The short answer to your question is no. The only 9.6v battery that can get it anywhere near 20bps is an Intellect 5000MaH. I bought it for this gun but its just 1 inch too long to fit. The only way to get both the battery to fit and get your ROF to 20+ is go Li-Po. My 7.4v 2800MaH Li-Po battery at full charge gets me around 17bps. I have not tired an 11.1v Li-Po and dont plan to.

Yup thats what im saying. As the MaH goes up on a battery it discharges more amps per second. Not to mention Li-Pos are a more consistent discharge so you get a better ROF when the battery is loosing its charge.

If you get the G4A1 with the crane stock im sorry to tell ya no it won't. My buddy has the crane stock version and we've tried but they're the wrong shape. There is a website called: all-battery com that I get all my batteries from. They have a Tenergy 4200Mah 9.6v crane stock batteries. This will get you around 20bps.

Just scroll down the left side of that page and click on-

then click on 9.6v... you'll see it.

I use a Tenergy 7.4v 2800Mah flat type battery.

Its fits perfectly and will not move around.

Also it discharges at 16 Amps higher than a large, high quality 9.6v. I get a consistent 18 BPS and it last me all day.

Do yourself a favor and shop around for batteries. Airsoft websites charge you about twice as much as hobby shop websites.

Nearly all 7.4v LIPO flat batteries

Nearly all 11.1v LIPO flat batteries

Nearly all 8.4v NIMH flat batteries

Most 9.6v NIMH flat batteries up to 3600MaH

Any larger and its to wide and to long.

Inside the stock there is more depth at the top than the bottom. If you use a stick style if will go in up to almost 9 inches.

I, unlike 99% of you I ACTUALLY OWN THIS GUN.

Mine did NOT come with the QD divot. I called ASGI and they said "Some do, some dont" What the hell kinda answer is that ?!

The guns performance is decent, not great.

The plastic hop-up is garbage. I had to take mine apart and put it back together PROPERLY. Still shoots hard left because the nub that puts backspin on the BB gets loose after 3 or 4 shots. $48 later after a new hop-up and bucking and if finally shoots well. Not worth $240.

its called changing the spring... the tests were taken when it had a 330 fps spring. Now they have 360-380. Obviously since they made that trade, it shoots faster but with lower BPS.

I got this gun with no QD on the stock. However, a large 9.6v will still not fit. There is some sort of fuse box in the front of the butt stock that wont allow it. The largest 9.6v I could get in there was a 3600Mah and it was super tight. I run a 7.4v 2800Mah LIPO and it shoots a little faster than the Intellect 9.6v. Its lighter and fits very well.

Go to AS GI and look at Airsoft Guns, then AEG's and then G4 series. If you look at the G4 A4, there are 3 types. The A4, A4 HS and A4 HSS. I dont know the difference.

@Kreager57 the standard A4 has a MOE stock, since its not a crane stock, the battery is in the front hand gaurd, the barrel is a standard M4 with a triangle sight and a flip up back sight.

the A4 HS has a front hand gaurd with a FUL RAIL under the hand gaurd, so u can remove the hand gaurds if you want to use the rails, but since there is a rail gaurd the battery is in the back, the HS has a standard M4 barrel lengthm same with the A4.

@Kreager57 the HSS is the same thing as the HS EXCEPT the HSS has a CQB length barrel, so it is a little bit shorter then the HS, and it has a special flashider,the reason y its so big, is because it increases the sound of ur gun, making it intimidating. and i also forgot, the HSS and the HS DO NOT have ANY type of sight included at all.

Oops my bad, the HS and the HSS dont have a rail under the hand guard, its just a gas block, but it has a tiny rail, and the battery is still in the back

The honest answer is ,,kinda sorta. If you go 7.4v LIPO then absolutely yes. 11.1v LIPO's are ok up to about 1500MaH (20c). Anything above that and they discharge way to many Amps and you WILL break the gearbox.

he told you in the video... it use to have a crane back stock (so it would still have the small connectors) and they changed it for a full back stock. all u need is a small to large connector which is like 5 bucks

It doesnt fit because of 2 reasons. The QD sling divot and some sort of wire or fuse box in the front of the butt stock. I DO actually own this gun and you can get a small to medium size 9.6v to fit.

Mine didnt come with the QD thing for some reason and gives me a little extra room. I measured it at 6 1/2 inches deep. After that it starts to taper down and only stick batteries will fit up to 9 inches deep.

9.6v NIMH at 5000Mah discharges at 40 amps

The crane stock will only hold up to a 9.6v 2200Mah nunchuck or crane stock style battery but the full stock version will hold Flat type batteries up to 9.6v 3600Mah

Go 7.4v LiPo if you want to be sure it fits and you want the best ROF.

11.1v LiPo's are a whole new animal.
