Anyone knows of a very simplistic, light, water resistant (not necessarly waterproof), slim phone? I am looking for a cheap secondary phone to take with me when I am going for sports (never know if there is a problem a cell phone can be useful to call emergencies).
dont know the make but sprint sells 2 rugged military grade phones supposedly used by us troop and they are suppose to be as good if not better then the sonim
I've got a nokia 6250 that I use for my camping out/festival/work phone and i'd like to see one go though some tests in the future if you make another vid.
I'll keep an eye open for you in future landrover events.
Excellent video, and he's a great presenter, thought so on the DVD too. Those phones are really impressive, I really doubt my touch screen HTC would stand up to the first drop, but I'll avoid trying it if you don't mind. :)

Nice tip to use rice for drying the electronics, reminds me of using salt to dry my wet watch in about 4 days once in a while ;-)

Why didn't you use the Land Rover Sonim instead of that other one?
