  • XBMC is great. In part because it embrace 'open source'. Legally in uses the GPL licence. A license designed by Richard Stallman to recognize how we all benefit from the freedom to read/modify freely provided open source software. Please do NOT support companies/communities that suck up open source software without providing releasing their source code for their products. Richard Stallman will be proud of you. AVSForum and J. River are BAD, BAD, BAD!!!

  • AVSForum immediately deletes posts that state the value of open source software like XBMC. AVSForum is in bed with J. River. J. River violates the GPL v2 license by refusing to freely provide source code to MC 16 after gobbling up GPL v2 software like LAV Filters. AVSForum will delete any posts that educate as to the value/freedoms of GPL v2. Please try and educate them!!
