  • I've been videoing the anoles in my area as well, you can check some of them out on my site. But I was wondering if you could tell me some good ways to make my yard habitat better for them to thrive in?

  • I did! You've got lots of them too. They're great animals. Make sure you don't use chemicals and such. Provide lots of cover, green vines & shrubs. Also water to attract insects for food. Try a feeder with fruit, it'll attract flies and the anoles will come to feed on them.:)

Good luck! Let me know how that works for you.

    Take care!

  • lol I have the perfect name for that anole... Bob! XD

  • lol! You know what, I have another with a "bobbed tail" that's been living in the backyard. I think I'll use that name for him.:)

I think this guy was Brownie, the dominant male who lived here last summer.

  • that was amazing, and you have a lovely garden.

  • Thanks! It's all dead and brown now, but, it'll be back, lush and green soon. The anoles however are still putting on a show despite the cold weather.

Thanks for watching and the nice comment.

  • Beautiful Display!!! Very nice!

  • Hi!

Thank you very much, that anole put on a good show.:)

    Thanks for watching!

  • That's nice. Koi in the pond?

  • Thank you.:)

No koi in this pond, but I do have a couple of them. There're 4 comet goldfish in this little pond w/the turtle.

    Thanks for watching!

  • We had an 18" incher (bronze colored) that we named "Hoover" since he vacuumed up everything. One Summer day when we were out of town the pond pump died and so did Hoover. Bummer. We'd had him about 10 years.

  • Ah, how sad.

I hear koi can live well into their hundreds! Mine are small, in an indoor tank for now. When they get more size on them, and are no longer in danger of being eaten by predators, they'll go into the garden pond. Sorry about Hoover.:(

    Thanks again for watching.

  • another good one!

  • Thanks!
