  • This goes right to the heart.

  • Gonna listen to this till i'm freaking deaf

  • i hate bob dylan

  • @vitradesk No, Bob Dylan hates you.

  • @holypiss17 Well, you also like Coldplay.

  • @vitradesk No I don't you mustard fart.

  • @vitradesk b

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool then to speak and remove all doubt.

  • @unacat09 *than

  • I love this song yet it didn't even make the final cut onto a studio album... such was the prolific output of Dylan in the 60s.

I agree that the Bootleg vol 1-3 version is superior to this, but my favourite happens to be the live recording from Philharmonic Hall (the duet with Joan Baez). Even with all the slapdash and forgotten lyrics, it still gets to me every single time.

  • what hunteronastick said.

  • So pure. So simple. So moving. So soulful. So beautiful. So profound.

  • This version doesn't even come close to the one on the Bootleg series 1-3. It's almost like this has no soul

  • @blaubird where can I hear that?

  • @blaubird no soul?? this song and version makes me emotional... i dont follow you,,,,

  • @LUCKas1212 Yes, the one on the Bootleg series vol 1-3 is way better than this.

  • @blaubird is it anywhere on YT????

  • Nearly brought me to tears

  • @hunteronastick1 Haha I used to fucking BREAK down and cry to this man, back when I was a pussy and had a soul and feelings lol. If you're in love with someone that you can't have, this song will kill you........ Especially this version on the piano, I don't care what any of these guys say

  • this song gives me chills.

  • Nothing like as good as the version put out on the Bootleg series.

    Still a great song, though.

  • @TerrySleeper is that version on youtube?

  • @lonnie817 - I don't think it is. It is on the (magnificent) "Bootleg Series vol 1", the triple set released in 1991.

I first heard it on a crappy vinyl version with tape-hiss, etc. But the "cleaned-up" version really is superb. You must hear it.

Any problem, get back to me.

    Rock on Bob!!

  • AAaahhhhhhh, this version is amazing!!
