My Dad back in 1996 (NV our Home State) had a chance at one like this. Very similar it was as wide and prongs were close to 7. Only difference is these hook in and that one Bent Back. We scouted it for weeks and had film. A personal friend is a B&C scored and he put it in the 88-89 class I believe this is the same. Long story as to what happened, but the short is. He got a 325yrd shot, hit it low (buck fever) we looked for 1 full day but lost him :( after he was jacked with at 5am with lights
That is a real dandy lope and long.... Only when they are on the ground can you truly green score them.... I would say 87 myself and I have taken an 86 & 85.... Cobra
@24elkbass what do you mean not a record? every animal that makes it into the books is a record... You must be confused because this one is huge and would for sure make it into the record catagory.
i too live in oregon, and yes there are still huge antelope here. in my neck of the woods it all depends on the time of year whether they are on private land or not but thats not a big deal to me cuz i have access to the private. i plan on taking a 17+inch buck this fall with my bow, i already have him pick out.
Very impressive, I would give him 88 or better. There are definitely big pronghorn left in many states. I just took an 85 net with my muzzleloader in Wyoming this fall and then took still photos at 20 yards of a 17 inch buck that would score about the same as mine - all on public land but I did hike in 3 miles from the closest road.
@corbin1213 No not a world record look up the B&C world records they score 5-7 points more then even this and this one is Very Big the score he says is close on this one I have said 88-89. The Word Records (Tie between two) is 95 inches they are HUGE. But so is all the Top 5 all score in the 90's and I know of one more that was taken in Nevada in 2006 that is not in there because they update only about every 8-10 years that scores 94 even making it #3, his boy has #5 93 6/8 Crazy, both from NV.
Respond to this video... To Add his boys Buck will be #4 it is the buck with only a skull since it was taken close to when they were going to put the book out. With his Dad at #3 now it makes His #5. Todd Jaksick is the one you will see at #4 the dad is Samual Jaksick and is the one with the new #3 at 94.
