For that to work, we would have to be constantly accelerating or we would never feel a pressure (relativity) seeing as we cant accelerate infinitely because of natural restraints that's... far-fetched to say the least.

Another thing. When Christians claim that the Bible says the Earth is a sphere they're referring to Isaiah 40:22 "...the circle of Earth..."
People thought the Earth was a flat disk back then. A disk has a shape. What shape do you think they would have assumed? A square? A triangle? How about a trapezoid or a parallelogram?
A circle is the most natural shape and that's what the primitives who wrote the Bible thought it was.... a circular disk, not a sphere.
For their version of gravity to exist the Earth would have to be ACCELERATING upwards. If it was going a constant velocity there would be no downwards force. That's why we call it the "acceleration of gravity" and not "the velocity of gravity".

@Robbohardcore The force of gravity is small relative to the other three so-called "fundamental interactions" (electromagnetism, the "strong interaction", and the "weak interaction") ... that may be what you're getting confused about. But on massive scales (planetary and bigger) even "small" forces are big relative to, say, the force you can apply with your arms and legs.
@Robbohardcore Read the wikipedia article called Fundamental Interaction, if you're interested in understanding what the physicists have to say about it. It's a good overview.

I have looked at one of the flat earth web-sites (maybe the same one as you saw), and I am pretty sure that nobody, or virtually nobody, who advocates the flat earth model actually believes it. They seem to be engaging in an exercise in arguing for a position which they do not believe (there must be a word for that).

I was dissapointed to hear the word 'internet' be followed by the words 'I did some research' .... Sorry but the internet does not count as research. Either way I am still intrigued by the idea that the Earth may be flat. I am an Atheist with about as open of a mind as you can get. I also like to dabble with the thought of the hallow Earth theory and the possibility of a super intelligent civilization living inside. Who knows, but I still personally believe the Earth is round.
